Overall Satisfaction with Wix

We primarily use Wix to launch quick and easy marketing websites where the soul purpose is to gain SEO credibility with high quality responsive design. Since Wix’s user interface is very plug and play, it’s easy for our design team to create websites without having to code much at all. Wix also provides security and stability we’d expect from a hosting server with very little overhead cost.

Pros

  • Quick and Easy No-Coding Websites
  • Implemented SEO Tools
  • Security and Stability of Server
  • Friendly Admin User Interface
  • Low Cost

Cons

  • Limited Access to Apply Custom Code
  • The WYSWYG Editor Has Occasional Quirks
  • Limited in Plug and Play Blocks
  • Sped up time to launch an SEO purposed marketing website
  • Saves the IT department time and money not having to monitor another server instance and its security.
  • The SEO tools provided make for quick and easy decisions when structuring content
Wix’s user interface was built for simplicity in mind in order to help users quickly and easily build a website that looks and functions good. This has been their bread and butter for years, and why we decided to use it in a few of our marketing scenarios. Wix never disappoints in this aspect.
Wix is very similar to Squarespace where they both have easy to use user interfaces, and both lack the ability to get cute with custom code when desired. That being said, for us Wix tends to deliver better overall value of options for the price. A lot of 3rd party apps integrate with Wix, too, which helps save us time.

Do you think Wix delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Wix's feature set?

Yes

Did Wix live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Wix go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Wix again?

Yes

We have found that Wix is great for launching quick “no-code” websites where our goal is to have a great design with good SEO content. That being said, if you’re trying to do a lot of custom coding inside of the UI’s blocks, there are limitations to what Wix allows you to do. You pretty much have to work within the design parameters they give you in the user interface.
