Overall Satisfaction with WordPress
I use WordPress for my corporate website. I needed a website to back up my brand, showcase the services I offer, and function as a showpiece website to show other businesses what I'm capable of for website development.
- Ease of use
- Availability of a diverse range of themes, plugins and related services
- Stable and powerful platform to build a variety of web projects
- Open source allows you to move it to new hosts as needed (unlike Wix, Squarespace, etc.)
- Web standard for websites
- Ability to disable Gutenberg built-in
- Enhanced security options within WordPress itself
- It's increased brand awareness
- Customer acquisition is easier now that they know my business exists.
- Only negative would be more spam from having a publicly visible email address.
- Wix and Squarespace
I'm not a fan of being locked into the limitations of a single-use platform like Wix or Squarespace, and greatly prefer the portability of having a WordPress website.
