Overall Satisfaction with Workplace by Facebook (Formerly Facebook at Work)
It is being used in two ways. The first way is to share activities and showcase things that each department or team is doing. Is a way to present what is going on with different departments and teams. The second way is to collect information or create collaboration. For example, if there is an event and they want to gather feedback about it, they will create a page and solicit feedback.
It helps with the sense of community since most of the teams are either fully remote or in different states or even countries.

- To create a sense of community and sharing
- To showcase what others are doing
- A way to rate or ask for feedback
- The groups are not well organized in my opinion. It can get a bit confusing
- There is no way to truly collaborate with documents and information
- I wish there was better ways to create surveys, "quizzes", and more ways to gather feedback.
- I am not sure if we can evaluate ROI with this tool. The main goal was to engage the end users and create a sense of community
- You may argue that employees are more engaged and therefore there is less job turn over. However, I do not have data to support this argument.
We tried just a couple solutions but nothing that could be really be compared with Workplace. We used Yammer and SharePoint. The main reason for Workplace to be better was the fact that it was EASY to use. If you want something that employees can easily start using and even something familiar, then workplace is a good solution. There are many facebook end users so accepting Workplace is easier for them.
