Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent
Xactly is used by the sales reps and sales managers for review of their revenues, quotas, attainments, and payments. It is used by Sales Ops for sales plans administration, revenue uploads, documents routings, and payment calculations. It is also used by the management team and executives for reporting purposes, sales achievements, and top sales rankings.
Pros
- Routing documents: can easily route necessary sales documents to sales reps and received online acceptance.
- Plan Configurations: can set up complex plans and calculations
- Instant access to quota achievement: once data is loaded to Xactly, the sales reps have instant access to view their data and achievements.
Cons
- Draws: Sales reps can not drill down to view if draws paid are recoverable or non-recoverable
- Can finalize a period by a business group which is good but to unfinalize, you must unfinalize all business groups at once which is NOT good.
- Xactly does not display actual final payments until after the period is finalized. It would be good to display it after just running calculations.
- Saves time to calculate in Xactly vs. an Excel spreadsheet.
- Less room for human errors than manually calculating commissions in Excel.
- Easy and streamlined process for routing sales documents for acceptance and approvals.
I have used Callidus and Oracle OIC in the past. So far, Xactly is the easiest to use from a sales administration perspective. Xactly provides lots of training and their customer support is always helpful to answer questions and help resolve issues. I do recommend Xactly to any company in the process of choosing what sales compensation system to use.
