Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zoom to hold meetings, conference calls, and webinars. We are moving towards using Zoom almost exclusively (we sometimes use Skype as well, but it does not meet our needs at the same price point that Zoom does). We're able to meet anytime, with many people, and it's very easy to use and reliable.

Pros and Cons

Teaching tools: you can share your screen, annotate, and engage your audience
Encryption available for added security (a must in many industries!)
Easy to use (despite having to download software)

Some settings are not easy to find (I feel they should be in settings but they are found elsewhere)

Return on Investment

It makes communication much easier
It's reliable, which means that my business maintains a professional image

Alternatives Considered

Skype, GoToWebinar, Google Hangouts and ClickWebinar

I've tried almost every webinar option out there. Zoom is far and away the easiest to use, most affordable, and has all the options you could want (including tools that keep participants engaged and interacting with what you are presenting). I will never go back to other options, and I recommend it to everyone.

Likelihood to Recommend

Zoom is well suited for almost any situation -- individuals who want to communicate virtually with others, online teachers, small businesses, larger businesses... the list goes on and on. I would say that this is a user-friendly option for organizations of all sizes and industries. Because of the security options available, I can't think of any industry this would not work well for.
