Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We were using a 3rd onSIP provider before and they did not have any client. The compatible clients did not work on Linux. It was a nightmare to configure and manage them. Since we were using Zoom Meetings, we decided to integrate it to our current system. We are quite happy with the performance. Recently we started to evaluate Zoom Rooms and so far, the evaluation is going on well. We hope to deploy this to our organization.

Pros

  • Easy to use Interface

  • Ease to configure and Manage

Cons

  • Support can be improved.
  • Account Manager gets changed and we are not informed properly
  • Their chat was not useful
  • Auto Provisioning via SAML is still buggy
  • Call charges still expensive compared to Teams
  • There has been reduction in costs
  • Administrative overheads have reduced
  • Reports are not very good. Some of them are for max 1 month. It can be improved.
We are not using this for the time being.
Zoom Workplace works well on all the platforms. Microsoft Teams was not very stable but now they are catching up. However, the major limitation is Linux client which Zoom has. That has been the biggest advantage of us using Zooms.

Zoom Workplace is suitable for SMB's and enterprises, where one does not have enough resources to manage the environment, easy to manage.

We started with Zoom Meetings, then expanded to Zoom Phone and now we are using Zoom Rooms extensively. The Integrations work well.
The user interface is the same whether you use IOS, Android or Windows.

I have had issues with regards to Billing and the issue is still pending after several years. Their Account Managers change regularly and the new person does not have any idea on what was the history. Too many follow ups are required.

Evaluating Zoom Workplace and Competitors

Yes - We were using a VOIP solution from Switzerland which was cheap but it was not easy to manage. They did not offer clients for Linux and user administration was cumbersome.
