Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace

We use Zoom as a fully remote business to conduct meetings and huddles. We also use Zoom Clips and Zoom Scheduler as alternatives to other 3rd party resources. These resources help us stay connected to each other when we are all over the country, and more effectively communicate with each other.

Cons

  • The admin backend feels clunky
  • There is not enough distinguishing the use of Zoom when you're logged out of your business account.
  • We have saved money by staying in the Zoom ecosystem versus going to other vendors for different tools.
  • Our company works together as if they were in-person.
  • We're able to host fun events more often because of Zoom.
Zoom is equal in parity to all of the tools mentioned above at a bare minimum, and for some of them it goes above and beyond - for video conferencing, Zoom is well past Meet and Teams. It's less obtrusive than Teams on a PC, and it doesn't strain older hardware like Meet does.

In situations where companies are partially or fully remote, Zoom is an excellent way to conduct meetings and other communications where a fully in-office company would simply call everyone together. In other words, Zoom helps remote companies feel the same sort of connection. I wouldn't recommend Zoom in cases where multiple people have to be in the same room, unless everyone's very skilled at being on mute when necessary.
