Zoom Workplace does a body good!
Overall Satisfaction with Zoom Workplace
My company is fully remote. Zoom Workplace allows us to be able to conduct meetings with our departments as well as schedule meetings with potential and existing clients. We also have a team that is in charge of employee engagement, and with the Zoom apps such as Bingo and others, it allows for the meetings to be more engaging and interactive. Finally, the new AI features have been employed by our users immensely.
Pros
- AI transcription
- Zoom apps to create engagement
- Web conferencing
Cons
- Customer Support
- Granular control over Zoom apps
- Nitpicking but a more diverse set of emojis in Zoom chat
- Improved collaboration
- Improved engagement
- Reduction in costs with majority of the work population being remote
I don't use Zoom AI that much, but when I do, it is beneficial. I have been in meetings and then received the transcription afterwards and realized there were parts that I did not immediately recall. I've been asked to audit other meetings, and the Zoom AI feature has been there to provide detail on the speakers, meeting agenda, summary, and more.
- Microsoft Teams and Slack
Zoom Workplace is less resource-intensive compared to Microsoft Teams. Slack appears very basic and does not have the app offerings that Zoom boasts. I've also encountered a significant amount of audio issues when using Slack to conduct meetings. Zoom has found its niche and does its job very well. Another downside of Slack is that it does not offer the ability to assume control over someone else's screen like Zoom does.
