If you have a lot of customer interaction with your site, where you need to collected specific, targeted, situational data, 123FormBuilder is an absolute winner. If your site is more information and perhaps leads to a software platform or other product or service, 123FormBuilder might prove unnecessarily robust for you. Something simpler and cheaper might make more sense for you. But in most cases where you're seeking to collect information from customers, I'd happily recommend 123FormBuilder.

It is well suited for companies who want to measure customer satisfaction. It provides fantastic reporting where you can target weak areas in your support processes. It is a very valuable tool and I have been extremely impressed

Pros

  • Customizability, particularly with regard to matching website design. This helped things look slick, rather than out of place. The site was seamless with these form additions.
  • Easy UX - not only was I able to work my way through the software easily in no time at all, it was also easy to hand off to others, knowing that it was always a step-by-step process.
  • All the bases were covered - when it came to form creation and data collection, they had fields for everything you could think of, as well as the customizability to add what you needed, where, and when.

  • Flexibility of integration with Salesforce.com - there is no package to install that creates custom objects; you decide which objects to link to and can create your own custom one if you want. We linked support CSAT to cases, service CSAT to a custom service object and internal marketing feedback to a custom survey object. Each survey can point wherever you want, and you can have multiple surveys per parent object if wanted
  • Support is great. Very fast to respond and doesn't mind helping with simple questions.
  • Nice UI and good online training

Cons

  • From a functionality perspective, it was really good, though I'd have liked a realtime editing feature. Meaning, I'd like to have been able to see changes on a preview form as I made changes. That would've save a lot of back forth, especially initially.

  • Analytics navigation was a challenge for me, but admittedly I did not seek help for it. I prefer to use the data in Salesforce reporting

Very quick to create, map/link survey results to salesforce and publish. A survey requirement from our organization can be turned around within hours not days. The user interface is clean and well organized, although navigation can be a bit confusing (finding certain options) Overall we are very satisfied and so are our internal users.

ClickTools is always available when I need it. The interface is quick and does not drag. Survey responses show up quickly after a survey is submitted. The survey analyzer is swift as well. There is no waiting around for something to process when you are using ClickTools.

I installed 123ContactForm myself and while I had some issues installing it I was able to visit their website and the troubleshooting information they provided in their faq section. They did offer other support if a user needed additional support, but I found the information provided on their website to be more than sufficient

Alternatives Considered

I think functionality between 123FormBuilder and other options is quite similar, in most cases. Where I found 123FormBuilder to be a significant winner was with regard to ease of use, and overall UX. Robust, simple, accessible, effective, and customizable are the keywords I'd highlight that helped me choose 123FormBuilder with complete confidence. That's not to say the other options will fail you, but you surely can't go wrong with 123FormBuilder.

There was no need to create survey landing pages from Salesforce for external polls, we could decide where survey results were captured in Salesforce (if at all - can report straight from CT), and with simple html skills we could brand everything

  • It was hard to put a numerical ROI on the use of 123FormBuilder, but it saved time, collected required data swiftly, and provided the data in easily accessible formats.
  • I don't believe there were any negative impacts from the use of 123FormBuilder.

  • I cannot speak specifically to ROI. The tool technically works, but it takes awhile to understand how to build a survey and process responses, simply due to the design.
