Absorb LMS vs. Cofense LMS

Absorb is well-suited for companies using certain HRIS systems that only have employees in one country. Absorb LMS is not well-suited for companies that have multiple API pulls for different countries, hence you have to manually add and remove users.

LMS is a more appropriate choice to be used if the organization is large and has multiple verticals where the trainings differ to a great etent from vertical to another vertical. However if the company is a small scale org with limited hierarchy, any open source portal is enough to serve the purpose.

• Need a better way to bulk enroll users without having to individually select them or select all. ePath LMS had the option the copy and paste all the user names into one field, and then just enroll.
• Have another way to bulk add users without a CSV, such as being able to copy/paste directly into populated fields in the LMS. This will also cut down on the number of files that need to be uploaded/stored in the file manager.
• Need to have the Global Resources available via the application (not just the via the site)
• Add ability to bulk upload multiple files at once into the file manager
• Add ability to bulk download certificates for users (such as all users for a particular session or particular department)
• Add ability to set Global Resource permissions at the category level, instead of (just) each individual file

We have no plans to move away from Absorb at this time. It has all of the functionality we are looking for in a learning management system and we have a lot of info stored in our LMS system for trainings including all of our current and past employee transcripts. It is also getting easier to manager with being able to connect the LMS to ADP to update employee reporting/department/location/etc. We don't have a need or reason to move away from Absorb at this time.

Customer support has been consistently helpful and quick to respond. When we were launching an important course, the support team went above and beyond to work with us on-call and test the course before launch due to the course's size and complexity

Absorb LMS was better priced that Cornerstone on Demand and is so much more user-friendly. Cornerstone was difficult to use, the fonts were very small, whereas Absorb LMS has larger fonts and more color to the platform, making it more visually appealing and user-friendly. Cornerstone did, however, have a more robust reporting feature. Docebo was evaluated when looking for a new LMS, but it did not appear to be as user-friendly from an administrative standpoint.

Cofense LMS works well at our environment due to it well know security awareness training without any complications. Ease to get support documentations & end users feedback. While in MetaCompliance Support & documentation was not that easy for end users.

• A current goal and focus of my team has been improving the completion rates of our courses. Using Absorb Create to design and content and te Absorb LMS to administer new content- early results show-we have doubled our course completion rates!
