It is well suited whenever you are trying to find any information you need about brochures, products, scripts, etc. I think it could be more beneficial having more videos provided about the differences between the dental products, med sup, and med adv plans, and maybe even videos about being a better salesperson.

  • Quickly reach out to whatever employee segment you want to reach by posting a topic and it will send a notification to everyone in that group with a link to the posting.
  • Bloomfire saves all of the previous posts so in your free time you can go to the site, and explore the various range of topics others have posted. The information on there will only be as good as the person posting it, but it will be people within your company and industry posting it. So it will always be helpful.
  • Bloomfire is a place to be noticed by your peers. Have a great topic you want to express, my company allows all to post there as long as we keep it professional. So you can share your ideas or experiences in a safe and productive manner. But we do have some fun on there too!

Abstract has a difficult learning curve. If a feature-branch workflow is new to you, then it will take some getting used to. They make a lot of updates to the interface and these feature releases get ahead of their documentation. They rely heavily on an excellent customer support team and are present on various Slack channels to help design professionals with issues.

Bloomfire is an easy-to-use platform for posting information and asking questions of my peers. It also has a user-friendly search capability. Yet like any other CMS, the secret to success rests in such items as the ability to use metadata to tag content or posts, and Bloomfire provides a wide range of options to make posting content and subsequently searching for it.

Abstract by nature is complex and has to respond to whatever changes in Sketch. So there are frequent issues. Support can be slow to respond and are not always helpful, but they are quick to find and patch the bugs. Overall, it's not the best support, but it hasn't been detrimental.

I have not needed to pose questions to the support team yet, as it is a very simple piece of software to use, however, its help documents and the bot ready to answer questions let me know I am in good hands. The help center could load a little quicker, but that's my only complaint.

Bloomfire

I have used Guru in the past. I believe that Bloomfire has a greater advantage because number one it is user friendly. Someone who is not so tech savvy would actually find it very easy to use Bloomfire. Also another advantage it has over Guru is the ability to react to post and articles.

Bloomfire

  • It improves company accuracy on how we conduct our business with standards and procedures. If this, then that instructions are just a search away. We have to be telling the millions of customers that we have the same information and Bloomfire increases that.
  • Increase sales by having information readily available so that we don't have to get back to customers and potentially lose out on sales because the customer went elsewhere and found something somewhere else where they could get their questions answered.
  • No negative impact in my mind.
