Neos is a cloud-based legal case management software used to customize and automate workflows while managing all case-related documentation and data.
When you need to have effective communication and records of it with coworkers and/or clients. Calendar function sends a notification 15 minutes prior [to] an appointment or event and at the specific time of the appointment. Is not as well suited on calendar as it is not [very] intuitive.
It helps organize each case file with integrated task lists, client contact info, documents, and deadlines in one place. For example, since we're a personal injury law firm Assembly Neos helps us juggle more than hundreds of active cases. It also keeps attorneys and case managers aligned and updated on timelines and responsibilities, it's efficient.
The help manuals are very easy to access and follow. Typically a problem can be quickly solved with these rather than putting in a ticket for service.
It is easily adaptable to the way you specifically work. You are able to tailor everything to your own case management style to make your work most efficient.
The updates happen regularly and keep up with all of the newest trends and needs.
It takes a while to learn how to use Neos. Now that I am familiar with it, I find it easy. However, I often hear complaints from coworkers about how they think Neos is too hard to understand. When you call Neos support, they are helpful, but only if they walk you through it, not when they send a long article.
We selected Neos because we already had Needles, and it was going to be the most cost-effective and seamless transition. We have always considered Filevine and evaluate it once a year or so, but we usually stay with Neos because we don't want to deal with the migration.
In my position, the impact to me is strictly in terms of efficiency. I can handle at least double the case load because Assembly Neos keeps track of the deadlines for me and sends reminders.
Firm wide, I believe each of our paralegals have seen the same increase in productivity.
Because Assembly Neos tracks everything so well, and has room for all of the case information, my work life is so much less stressful. And because I can see that my coworkers are less stressed, I can say that Assembly Neos contributes to overall firm satisfaction.
