[ADP is well suited for] Smaller agencies with a regular payroll and not a complex payroll. Users must be familiar with databases, reporting, etc. as system is not as user friendly as we would like. The cost is also a factor especially as the basic system does not include other features such as performance management, dashboards, etc. I was hoping to have access to the dashboards. Reporting should also provide more sample reports

One specific scenario where Paycor really helps is in submission of tax and other statutory deductions in a comfortable thereby lowering any lawsuits that maybe leveled against your company for failure to oblige with statutory tax deductions among others remittances

  • A while back, Paycor went from having a dedicated person for our company to a team. I do miss the personalized care, but I have to say, I'm still getting a great level of care and competency.
  • Creating our own reports was a wonderful feature, added in the last few years. Perhaps some of those could be named, such as Unemployment Insurance Audit.

ADP is a good system to track information but, what it lacks is just some detail that provides time savings. Some instances they have made "updates" that tend to have been better previous to those "updates." One example is for staff to see how they have used their time off in the past. There should be an easy way to report and review such other than looking at pay periods. Pay statement and review and totals can also improve.

I gave this a 9 because although some areas could be a little better, it is still an easy program to use once you get used to it. And they are always updating. Paycor lets users suggest changes and other users can vote on them. I have seen several changes that I either suggested or voted on get implemented. There is nothing like the end user to know what is helpful and what isn't, and Paycor appears to listen to that.

I give support a 9 because it is consistent and as quick as I would expect. If I have a question that has to be answered right now (when I am in the middle of processing a payroll, for example) I will call instead of email and the response is excellent. If I have an issue or question that just needs to be addressed but isn't critical, I email that and don't indicate that I need immediate assistance. This has worked well for me.

The training provided was based on a generic database and reporting which made it difficult to compare when you had your own database to work at. It also didn't provide good written materials that would be useful after the training session. It was more geared towards the practice tests or applications within the training.

Really think through your current processes. Some things need to be updated as you go through the implementation. That is really easier than making a change after the implementation is completed!

We used Ceridian's Source Assist and later the HR/Payroll Latitude web Products for over ten years. Customer support at Ceridian was a big reason we chose to leave, and Paycor's dedication to client satisfaction has not disappointed us. The lack of flexibility in Ceridian's platform always frustrated us and Paycor makes it easy to customize the product to meet our needs, instead of having to modify our requirements to fit the product's abilities. At Ceridian it seemed that changes, when made, rarely made things easier for us. We have been pleased to find that Paycor listens to client concerns and makes changes that make life easier.

Return on Investment

  • The time savings from having to calculate the vacation, sick, bereavement was well worth the cost of this software.
  • We were able to login once to ADP to then use ezLaborManager which helped save time from having to login multiple times and having to use different shortcuts to access the websites/modular.
