Altru is priced as an annual subscription. This includes hosting, unlimited users, access to unparalleled product support – everything you expect from a complete cloud solution.
Pricing is based on how many contacts are imported into the Donor Management System. All packages have unlimited users, unlimited campaigns, unlimited peer-to-peer pages, unlimited emails and communications, and optional events and auctions. All packages also include support and data migration.
Well suited for smaller organizations that want to centralize many systems. Smaller organizations will have less constituents to manage and fewer events (our organization has 100,000+ constituents, daily programs/events, and a large donor base). Many areas within Altru are not updated to be functional for 2020. Because of this, we do not use the merchandising feature, the volunteer portal, or marketing communications. It does a little bit of everything "okay enough" to be better than having separate systems. It's restrictive in many areas, but being able to do SO much in one database outweighs the negatives! It is 100% necessary to have a data manager who spends all of their time in Altru doing data cleanup, researching and writing policies and procedures, training new users, keeping staff up-to-date on new processes, creating queries and running reports, creating workarounds for "unfixable" issues within the database.
Bonterra Network for Good suits our needs for tracking donations, adding contacts, and categorizing them for email blasts, text messages, videos, and newsletters. We always know each contact's donation status, whether they're a "new donor," "active donor," or "lapsed donor." This software is very user-friendly. And if you have questions, "Ask Que. It's great!! This software is also affordable. We love it!

In exporting reports, it would be helpful to have a "select all" option so you can easily select everything without having to manually click each one.
In exporting reports, it may be helpful to have the option of saving various options for different needs so you don't have to manually click or unclick each choice every time, as you can currently only save one type.
It would be helpful to be able to change an event/ticket information after it has already gone live for sales as we recently had an issue with this.

We are still learning and rebuilding our nonprofit using this platform, so this year is a trial run to see how we can increase our network and our donations. So long as we are able to see a significant return on investment in terms of donations received through the platform, we will renew for next year.

I gave a usability rating of 10 because Bonterra Network for Good is a very simple software program. The program is set up so it's really easy to learn, especially with the great resources they have available. It's also really easy to use - it's very user friendly and intuitive. You can also easily contact a representative who can help walk you through whatever you need.

In 5+ years we have never had an issue with it not working when we needed it to. It is very reliable and doesn't seem to have a lot of bugs or interruptions in service.

It is always fast for us and reports have a very quick upload time. We don't integrate it into other programs so I'm not 100% sure about that, but it always works when we use it and is very reliable. Even when we run Excel files for complete information on donors, it always works very fast.

They are always available and very knowledgable. Many times I am able to come up with a solution before they've finished troubleshooting just by having talked through it with them. I really appreciate the Chat feature to answer simple questions in a timely fashion. The training I received was top notch and very detailed.

Most of the time they are quick and friendly and help me resolve any issues. There have only been a couple of times that we couldn't find a resolution and I was just told that NFG didn't have that capability.

The implementation of using Bonterra Network for Good within our organization went very easily, with no large issues. We had help internally as well as from one of the Bonterra Network for Good representatives who helped to get all of our data imported seamlessly. It was an easy process that they walked us through.

We switched from Raisers Edge in 2012 due to the need to have all processes in one database. Group Sales/Rentals had to use a separate database for their sales than the Members and Donors department. We also could not sell tickets for events and programs in one space. Being able to have all of these in one database is why we chose Altru.
The main difference, in my opinion, was that at Network for Good we had a representative who helped us when we couldn't solve a problem ourselves. At Bloomerang, I had to go through several channels to reach someone. (Once I did, we haven't had an issue since.) We like Bloomerang's products (Qgiv - Bloomerang Fundraising) and the communications tools. We wish Bloomerang had texting as Network for Good did. Ultimately, though, we have found that FundraiseUp has the best donation page option for our organization.

It has become very tedious to account for registrants in each session of a class or camp, because you have to "sell" them into each session in order to have an accurate class roster.
It is very easy to process payment and entry fees to our Museum and programs.
It is easy to retrieve accurate information and records of patrons.

Minimized the resources necessary to run an online presence. For instance, one moderately tech-savvy person can handle it.
Provides a pathway to increase the number of events the organization can manage.
By being part of a larger group of non-profits that utilize Network For The Good, we receive additional assistance and ideas from related organizations.
