Sales Gamification
Comparison of Sales Gamification features of Product A and Product B
Well suited: environments that crave social affirmation, social competition, or other organizations that can't incentivize success via compensation. Not well-suited: environments that support several similar roles that have different metrics. Example: we have 5 similar roles at my company that would benefit from Ambition, and each of these teams sits close to each other. It's challenging to customize Ambition to display multiple different roles with different metrics, rewards, and content. If you display the content on a screen in your office, it's best suited for only one role/team. Otherwise, you'll likely need to deploy Ambition to different teams separately, via a different account.
For where our company is at, GrowSurf fit nicely into what we needed and wanted to spend. It allows us to have enough campaigns (currently) to support the needs of our company. Managing the system for payout has not been as easy as anticipated.
I see Talon. One as best suited for small or medium sized businesses - less than 50k customers. The reason being, I do not see the scalability of the tool; it is the classic what-you-see-is-what-you-get. On the positive, because you get all of it out of the box, it makes it very simple to have one or two people dedicated to administration and development. Additionally, Talon. One won't be contacting you for more money just to use a feature
Setting up GrowSurf was a breeze! The user-friendly interface made it easy for our team to customize our referral page and integrate it seamlessly into our website
I have not tried alternatives to Ambition but could not see what additional changes or iterations another company could deploy that Ambition is not currently doing
We selected GrowSurf because of their pricing and ROI calculator present on their website today. It made the decision clear and easy for our finance and business stakeholders. Overall, the tool is great. It is easy to use, manage and train others on. It's a great starting point for someone new to digital marketing and it's a great arrow in the quiver for our most seasoned team members.
For clarity, I am only comparing the discount code feature from Salesforce vs. the entire platform. In Salesforce, creating a code was an arduous process, then we had to wait for the sync job to run with our web services engine (every 10 minutes) to see if what we had created was functioning correctly. Do the math: If configuration takes 10 minutes, you have to wait a total of 20 minutes to test it, then if it doesn't work, try again in 15-20 minutes. Over an 8-hour day, you aren't accomplishing anything! TalonOne made it so simple. 10-15 minutes of configuration time, then near immediate testing time. We were able to create and troubleshoot a discount code in a couple of hours rather than a couple of days
We rolled out a new metrics launch AND Ambition at the same time. Metrics attainment has risen significantly.
Some reps love seeing the results publicly, and some despise it. It highly depends on the sales culture of your team. The "non-salesy" types at our company only want to know their own metrics, and not participate in sales competitions or publicize the results.
