Basecamp
Basecamp is great for the organization of design or copy comps and sharing progression of the project. It is not meant to be only a file share site, but integrates well with box, dropbox, and Google Drive for larger files. It allows for client sharing, so that only certain messages and files are seen by your clients, but requires a bit of training within your team to function properly.

Our own dev team has been using ZenTao to manage so many of the products we have been developed, we use it to manage product backlog, sprint, task, bug, and case. We have been using this tool so much and we don't think we will immigrate to any other software. Thanks ZenTao, you earn an 8 from us.

- In ZenTao, there are three key roles, Product Owners, Development teams, and QA teams. The three roles cooperate with each other through stories, representing the Tripartite in project management. Product Owners gather stories; Development teams perform tasks, and QA teams guarantee qualities.
- Agility is a better way to embrace change. It is very suitable for software R &D industry. Different development plans are adopted according to customers' needs and market changes.
- ZenTao is a full life cycle management software. Including product management, project management, task management, bug management.

Cons
Basecamp
- I use Basecamp V2 because the newer V3 misses some functionality of V2. It seems it was built for a slightly different purpose. Unfortunately, V2 is not seeing feature updates as often as V3
- Integration with other platforms would be nice. For example, I'd love to see my personal calendar or my business Outlook calendar overlaid on the Basecamp calendar, but this is not a possibility currently.
- I can subscribe to Basecamp's iCal to show the Basecamp calendar on my personal calendar, which is handy, but it is quite limited. I can't see any detail about the task aside from the title. None of the description or information on what project or task list the task is attached to.

When I bring new people onto a project, it's immediately obvious how to use Basecamp. I don't have to worry about teaching them the features or walking them through it, it's just incredibly user-friendly. For this reason, I'll continue to renew my subscription even as new people are brought onto production jobs or the client changes.

Basecamp is a little tricky to learn. I've used it for quite a while but I feel like there's still so much I don't know. It took me a while to learn but having used it in college definitely helped me integrate it into my work career.

I've never experienced downtime while using Basecamp, or been unable to access it when I needed it. That's not to say they've never had downtime, but I've been lucky enough not to encounter any, and I work odd hours, including late nights when maintenance is often undertaken.

For the many reasons I've given, Basecamp is a very strong program. There are a few features I can imagine that might make it even better, but I don't have a basis for comparison to be able to say that there is definitely a better one out there. I've noticed that Basecamp has evolved a bit from the time I started using it until now, so that makes me think that the producer of this program values it and believes in continuous improvement. If you could use the features offered by Basecamp, I would think you could use it with confidence.

Decide the process before implementation - i.e. when it's due 8/9 does that mean 8am, noon, 5pm, 11:59pm? Check your to-do list frequentlySet-up templates - just not with the dates (they can be funky)

Basecamp
I have used Jira in past roles with different organizations, and I find Basecamp to be much more user-friendly and better at the more complex conversations that need to be had around product features. Basecamp knows what it does well, and sticks to that, instead of trying to be a more all-around product development tool like Jira. In my experience, Jira's interface was much more confusing, and contained a lot of functionality that my team didn't use.

Basecamp
- We have far less meetings! Which is great. I think this has made us far more efficient, wasting time with meetings and getting more done.
- We are able to keep track of notes and progress on a project much more easily. I feel like things stay on track much better than before we had Basecamp.
- I think timelines and deadlines are kept very clear and everyone has clear expectations. This means people know exactly what they need to work on at any given time (and know what they will be working on next too). As bad as it sounds to say, I think before we had Basecamp, deadlines and timelines weren't very clear sometimes.
