Basware AP Automation vs. Brex

Having the entire invoice life cycle in Basware is the optimal configuration. Currently, we have only ingestion and enrichment, and we rely on S4/Ariba for matching and approvals. There are certain vendors where their invoice format quality is less than optimal for Basware OCR, but Basware continues to work with those vendors to improve the capture rate and/or set them up as EDI.

A great corporate card for startups. Easy to use and set up, easy search and track spending. I would recommend it to tech companies looking for an interface and experience that vastly improves on existing banks. Also great to have a large line of credit compared to what's offered traditionally

• Basware is fast and reliable. Very rare down time during the time we've been using it.
• Great support team. Our needs were addressed timely and efficiently.
• Basware provides us with great customer service. We have had many modifications to our specific needs and Basware worked well with us for our customizations.

• Rewards - The rewards were the main reason for us switching. Our previous card provider did not have a good rewards program.
• User Interface and experience - When a charge is recorded on the Brex card, users immediately receive a text notification asking them to send a picture of their receipt. Brex automatically attaches the receipts to the charge which has saved our users a significant amount of time.

• Once you cancel the document in "cancellation queue" it cannot be restored or viewed.
• Sometimes but relatively rarely the program opens slowly.
• In rare instances the program freezes and needs to be restarted.

• Their Quickbooks integration just updated and is now a nightmare.
• It would be nice if I got more fraud review activities for my employees.
• I want them to go back to their old export system into Quickbooks

We will continue using product and continue renewing as it is widely used product and it has been well adapted by users in our organization. The product is expensive but we will use it. Hopefully the product bugs will be fixed in future and they will provide more HA architecture feather for Basware.

The usability is pretty great. I love the UI / UX for uploading the Memo; at times, I do not even need to be inside the platform. I simply use Slack.

I have only used Basware Purchase to Pay in my organization, however it is such a good software that my company decided to keep using it for next years.

We use and thoroughly enjoy both. One we use as our main bank and Brex as our credit card provider. I'd say they serve different purposes (with Brex we get points), whereas Mercury we mostly use for wire transfers. We did initially start using Mercury because we needed a checking account, but Brex has been nice because of the rewards and the way it works to track expenses and cards.
