BrightHR is great at showing who is on holiday, who is in the office or working from home; which team and who reports to who. It is great at setting up new employees and it is very intuitive with setting the new employees up.You can add all HR documents to individual employee folders and you can give permission to those employees to view documents or you can turn that off. You can set reminders for reviews and PDRs as well as you receive reminders from Bright HR letting you know if the information is missing; for if someone needs holiday/TOIL approval.I find the fact that documents cannot be viewed in the application frustrating as sometimes I do not want to download the document to my laptop.

I would recommend this system based on ease of usability for both manager level and associate level users. The platform is completely mobile friendly, even from the Admin access. Processing payroll is a breeze. The NetAssist HR function is amazing! From the dashboard you can see associate birthdays, anniversaries, new hires, terminations and performance reviews due within the month at a click of a button

  • My Netchex Service Team is very responsive and friendly. They are willing and able to spend the amount of time needed on one call to troubleshoot most problems or answer questions.
  • Their recent updates to the employee dashboard have been well-received by our seasonal team. Employees are able to quickly find what they are looking for which has minimized the amount of requests that my team receives regarding questions on pay or updating personal information.
  • Online W-2 forms have been a game-changer for us since moving to Netchex. Our staff tend to move around a lot and most do not get the mailed copy of their W-2. The electronic consent has saved me hours and hours of time.

  • Carrier connections - there are too many issues with the third party
  • Pricing - so many new features that aren't included with the current price, it can be difficult to have your company understand the need for a product due to the additional cost

The first line CE team is phenomenal. They are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We have had less luck with the responsiveness of the tax department. However, their response time has improved drastically over the past year.

I chose BrightHR as it offered a one-stop platform for HR management for which we have dedicated UK and ROI HR specialists who not only give HR advice but also write policies and handbooks, etc. They are a one-stop-shop, which was very important as when I signed the contract I did not have an HR person in my team and they were essentially my back office.Also, by signing up, I got access to Bright Safe too; which is great as again it's a one-stop-shop for Health and Safety in the workplace. So I can roll out toolbox talks, training, and accident management.

Netchex

The biggest difference I see between Netchex and our previous vendor is customer service. Our previous vendor would take days, if not weeks, to respond with an inquiry. Netchex generally does within 24 hours via email or immediately if you call. The second biggest difference is ease of use, both managers and associates have commented on how much easier it is to use.

  • Associates can easily access their data and make changes to things like their address and direct deposit, saving manager time to focus on more critical tasks within the organization
  • NetRecruitier has one site that can be posted to multiple job boards with one applicant tracking system
  • Electronic Onboarding allows us to get information out to the new employee so we can start with expectations on their first day and they know what to expect.
