Game changer for our team of 4 project managers who execute 15-20 design and construction projects at a time. ClickUp is packed with features, highly customizable, and has the ability to scale via hierarchy. After years of testing/using other software tools for task management, I found myself finally at ease not looking for the grass to be greener. Thank you ClickUp! Specific scenario where ClickUp is well suited is having a Space that a single project manager owns, projects within that space. ClickUp allows multiple projects across all of these spaces to be rolled up to a higher view, reports, or dashboards. Very powerful. Another scenario is being agile. When we encounter a problem we can create a specific "list" and utilize any view that is best to document and plan to solve the problem at hand. When the problem is complete, we can archive the list.
Companies that face issues due to chaos in terms of document management can really take advantage by organizing all their documents at a single place. TaskQue is inappropriate for project costing requirements in big projects.
Custom views. No need to replicate projects, just duplicate a view and adjust it to your needs. Any updates you make to one view will sync with your other views
Custom fields make live so much easier as they provide additional task data without having to use descriptions and it allows you to filter your projects.
Automates repetitive steps
Dashboards because you don't need to search for what you need to work on that day. Everything is there for you in your dashboard
I think Gantt charts should be here to be used as a project management tool. Moreover, affiliation with productivity tools such as time-tracking tools can make it much better.
We're very pleased with how the system works in general. For over a year we've barely ever had any problems with ClickUp and there might have only been one or two times when it wasn't operational for us due to a global emergency. Moreover, when we had a problem once with renewing our licenses we've been contacted directly by our account manager and taken care of in a very professional way (with a due refund as well). The exceptional customer service makes us firmly believe that ClickUp is just the right tool for us.
Far easier to use than any other PM tool. ClickUp is incredibly intuitive and had us saving time and energy within the first week of implementation. In my opinion, PM software should make it easier to focus on the deliverables - it shouldn't take all your time and energy to learn how to use the tool in the first place. ClickUp is a user-friendly tool that actually helps us focus on what's important.
For over a year ClickUp was unavailable to us just twice for a couple of hours. I would say for a system this big and working globally that was a minor issue. They managed to fix all the issues within a couple hours and then it was back up and running perfectly fine.
I understand that it's a beast and does a lot of things, which is probably why it's laggy. But I do find it takes longer than I'd like to load, and if I am sending a complex document to a client or team member they aren't quite sure if they're getting the right thing at first. This is actually a pretty significant problem - my biggest beef with ClickUp.
ClickUp support is incredible! They respond quickly with any questions about my issue, provide a timeline, and elaborate on how they will solve my problem. They are incredibly respectful and accommodating. Whenever I run into an issue, I know that ClickUp support will be happy to answer any questions and help my team out. When I start a support ticket, I know that I won't be getting sent article recommendations, I will be speaking to their customer support team immediately
There are multiple guides on literally all of the functions you can find within the system, therefore it's easy to learn anything you'd really like to use, starting from project and people management, down to Gantts, mind maps, time tracking, inviting Clients as guests to work with you on the projects and so much more.
Using ClickUp is fairly easy. There are multiple guides on how to use all of the functions in the system. An organization wanting to start working with ClickUp should simply try it out and see how it would like to adapt its workflow to the possibilities the system gives the users.
It is much more intuitive and shows more dev-driven tasks to create stories. Also, the fact that ClickUp enables the system to save multiple files from online to locally uploaded files, and GitLab is the way to archive them. Maybe Asana has new features, but I'm sure Clickup is now my family to evaluate new ideas.
TaskQue’s most unique feature is the queue feature which enables you to assign tasks automatically. We were seriously fed up with the manual assignment of tasks.
Scaling with ClickUp is superb. If you create a workflow best suited for your organization then it's all about creating new accounts and teaching the new employees the workflow you're using. It's that simple. There is no black magic when it comes to Clickup.
ClickUp has been a great benefit in my need to improve our organizational and structural view of our business, our work and our client responsibilities.
ClickUp's weakest link, however, has been the speed of the platform. However, I have recently found a way to address that, and so no more complaints on that end!
