This is great for Operations people who need to parse through many calendars at once when scheduling meetings, even if the rest of the organization isn't using it. Clockwise does not allow you to put meetings on other people's calendars, though, or find times for meetings that you aren't in, so keep that in mind. It has still been a life-saver for me. Clockwise isn't great for scheduling client meetings due to the fact that it automatically places emojis in the names of the meetings, and there are other little branding things that are impossible to remove even on paid plans. I tended to just find time for the meetings in Clockwise and then move back to Google Calendar to schedule them
Mindbody excels in areas that rely on the "bread and butter" of its design: scheduling, member management, and payment processing. Overall as a fitness center management solution, Mindbody is by far the best product we have used and they have evolved their capabilities in good alignment with our needs as well.
Everyday use is good enough, we don't have an overly complicated product that allows us to complete the tasks given to us and schedule and reschedule the meetings. The ability to allow the user to control the scheduling of meetings and look in the calendar for specific timelines has never been easier. The stress that is on the user is taken away from the user by the tool itself.
Mindbody does a great job of sending out reminder emails to clients so they do not miss a class.
Mindbody does a great job at giving instructors a fast and easy way to check in clients and to see who is all signed up for their classes for the week.
Mindbody has a great payroll feature. All you have to do is set the dates and it generates a nicely laid out PDF of all the classes you taught during that time period and what you have made from them.
There is so much functionality and not enough accountability. I wish there were more tracking of all transactions done on the clients or operations end to be able to review history and learn from mistakes.
The Mindbody branded app connection needs more attention.
Please add a covid vaccination checker to the application (not just to use in the web browser). It has taken way too long to get this feature.
I would like the ability to search the schedules of all tutors for the next available opening.
When scheduling a provider off for a day or if the provider is sick, I would like the program to ask me if I need to cancel all appointments for the provider and allow me to give a message to the client why it is being canceled.
Office closed messages. - If I close the office for a week because of vacation, spring break, etc... I would like Schedulicity to cancel all the appointments on the specified dates and give me the option to send a message to my client's explaining why we are closed. Currently, I need to go into each individual provider and mark the days off and then go into each provider's schedule and cancel each appointment. It takes a long time to do this with 14 employees. It would be easier to indicate the business is closed, cancel all provider's appointments on those days, and then have an option to send a notification to clients indicating why the center is closed.
It doesn't have a dark mode, which is not fun. There is no Month or Year view which isn't great, only day or week. It's hard to get used to and the flexible meetings aren't as intuitive as they claim to be/should be. This is great for scheduling, but in terms of functioning as a calendar, it's not my go-to choice. The JOIN button for the upcoming virtual meeting is nice, though. Clockwise would have gotten a nine if I could schedule meetings on other people's calendars or remove my availability from the equation when scheduling meetings that I won't be in
Settings are often buried, user interface rules vary depending on whether it's a newer feature or an older one. From daily usage, people learn how it works and get used to it, but it's not something someone could just pick up without any training or hand-holding.
Mindbody support takes forever to get back to you via email in my experience. The process is not as simple as it was back when they had the chat feature. I really wish they would bring that back! Most items are normally some weird glitch that they can fix in minutes but you have to wait days now.
The support team is awesome. The turnaround is quick and if the software cannot support my current need they are really good about giving me a work around.
Clockwise has additional features/bells and whistles that the others do not. For example, the travel time feature if you are booking meetings that you need to drive to and from. Also booking across teams, rather than having to enter each individual manually
Mindbody is really the only system of its kind that is widely used by fitness and yoga studios. Its app is the industry standard for looking up and signing up for classes, so most students rely on it exclusively. If there were another viable alternative it would have to promise more ease of use and intuitive backend.
This is night and day from the excel spreadsheets we were using to set appts manually. We have seen productivity and scheduling mistakes diminish quickly. Very happy with this product.
I've had agents help me set something up that ended up costing time and money because it was done wrong. [In my experience], less senior agents need to stop guessing or going with "I think so" and talk to a senior agent to make sure what they are telling the client is correct.
