ConfigCat vs. Kameleoon

If you are looking for an experimentation/feature flag style tool that is quick to adopt and provides enough functionality for light/medium use cases, then this is the tool for you. Additionally, they are growing and expanding their functionality and feature set so they can grow alongside you and your needs. The publicly accessible roadmap is also a great benefit to see where time is being spent on which feature next.

There are many platforms to choose from when it comes to experimentation and personalization. We've found Kameleoon to be an excellent choice for those looking for a balance in capabilities (it checks all the boxes), cost-effectiveness, and a helpful customer success team paired with a responsive product team.

• Fas, and easy to configure and get started.
• Accessible from everywhere (no more SSHing into the servers to change the configuration files).
• All environments are on the same management interface, allowing the ease of configuration changes deployment.

• Widget editor (creating a widget without any code)
• Results analysis dashboard (easy to read and understand)
• The consulting team (always available to help and guide us - Thank you [C...] !!)
• Segmentation (it allows us to easily target a specific audience)
• The tool is very intuitive and easy to use

• No automatic push for flag changes - have to write our own webhooks
• No scheduling interface for flipping flags automatically on a schedule
• Interface is a bit cluttered for people who are just flipping flags

• Interface of the graphics editor is quite conceptual. It is fine after a few days but it takes a little while to recognize some icons.
• Their online tutorial could also be easily improved.
• If you want to do major graphical changes on your website, you will have to inject JS and CSS code which requires some technical background but I don’t know if that point can be improved.

Just everything from the website to locating what i need (docs) specific to my platforms is super easy. Not to mention the support articles answering previous questions

Kameleoon offers one of the best UI's I've seen when I've compared it to 4 of the other big competitors in the landscape. They have some improvement areas when it comes to the UX - Which is easily solvable if/when prioritized. There's a little to much "clicking" and "new tabs" in my opinion

They have a community Slack channel that is open to anyone. They always seem to have people in there, even over the weekends and are always happy to answer any questions you have,

We have a very good relationship with our CSM and with Kameleoon’s technical team. We trust them fully to help us with the set-up of A/B tests and personalizations, analysis of results, and any technical matter that we may encounter. They always do their best to be as responsive as possible, and our communications are always very fluid.

At iBinder we searched for and vetted several suppliers of a feature toggle service to handle feature toggling in our production environment. In addition to our functional requirements, it was crucial for us to find a partner that could deliver an EU-compliant service. We finally decided to sign a service agreement with ConfigCat. This has been a real success story for us – in addition to being compliant, ConfigCat delivers an amazing, flexible, and reliable service. They continue to impress by also being very transparent and having a fantastic support and they are very solution oriented and accommodating when it comes to our feature requests etc. We have now used ConfigCat for approximately 2 years and we give our warmest recommendations to anyone who needs a stable, reliable and EU-compliant feature toggle service.

We were looking for a new tool after Google sunset their tool. We tested AB Tasty and Kameleoon. Our dev team was unhappy with the weight of the AB Tasty tag and I found the level of service with Kameleoon much higher.

• Allowed us to migrate seamlessly from a major customer communication system to another, reducing end-user friction and production bugs by being able to turn features off if they didn't work as intended.
• We went from zero experimentation to running 10-20 experiments concurrently across systems. Engineering teams are thinking in an experimentation mindset.

• Since we started using Kameleoon, our ROI indicators are all green. Truth is, we rely on exigent customers. If they’re not happy with our service, we will pay for it on the long term. Kameleoon helps us making sure this is not happening by providing us the tools to continuously improve our customers’ experiences.
