Grasshopper vs. Growave

Grasshopper is well suited for basic needs of texting in and out as well as calling out if you would like to avoid using your personal line. It also eliminates the need to have a dedicated land land in your office or business. You can obtain a vanity number and forward calls through grasshopper.

After an exhaustive search, I was excited to choose Growave for my biz rewards & loyalty program, the Smile High Club™. The app is very customizeable so has checked off every requirement as far as our branding style guide goes. The greatest thing about Growave is its people. They are so kind, patient & know their stuff!! They always have an answer for me

• I like that there are differing voicemails for each extension, to keep up with the image of calling a separate line.
• I love the voicemail text emails. I believe we pay a little extra, but worth every penny for those urgent calls while I am in a meeting.
• The cost is very reasonable for the value added to our company.

• Support - They respond to emails quickly and professionally.
• Coding - They are Shopify experts and will also try to find a solution to a request.
• They are also cost effective meaning we are able to progress with development of our site without the high cost some other agencies charge.

• It would be nice to have the ability to transfer some calls to another Grasshopper IVR, for those customers who mistakenly dial the wrong number (we have two incoming numbers, one for corporate and one for sales).
• Likewise, it would be nice to have the ability to forward to a toll-free number, which would have allowed us to work around the inability to transfer between IVRs (see above).
• Lastly, it would be great to have an 'emergency' switch setting (default off but could be toggled on) that would let us override all IVR settings and transfer all incoming calls elsewhere (either to a direct dial or toll free number) for those rare times when we cannot take any calls (such as a weather emergency OR the one time each year we take all of our staff on a retreat) - that would allow us to send all calls to a backup answering service rather than just voicemail.

• Not really anything there that would necessarily be needed, or that troubled the usage of the app. Of course, there were some "problems" or how I would better describe it "things that needed to be changed" when we first started with the app, but the back office is very easy to use and understand and if there was something, that couldn't be solved there, the customer service was very easy to respond, handle and solve the situation. So that's not really a drawback, because I guess it's a normal thing.
• The only thing that could be adapted, is that the emails are not multilingual. So it is not possible to translate them even with another translation app. So that's sort of bad for a multilingual shop, but is only a minor drawback.

Because it has been a very useful app, easy to use, filled with great options and a terrific customer service.

We're currently a small newly launched eCommerce business so our needs are pretty basic. This app is free and does what we need it to and Growave's customer support and their dev team are super patient, helpful and attentive.

When I was setting up my account I contacted support a couple of times. They were also very professional, personable, and helpful. Their response is prompt and thorough. I'm confident I can get any question answered as well as help with any issue I might have. That's pretty important to me.

They are super attentive and will work with you to make sure that Growave is properly integrated on your site. I had a few conversations with them. They always had prompt replies and they helped to create some custom solutions so that their modules matched the style of our website. It was overall a really great experience working with them.

I have not used any other phone services like Grasshopper. I know that there is another option out there called Ruby, which is more like a virtual receptionist but since I did not try it out I cannot compare the two. When I started my company I found the services that Grasshopper offers to be perfect. It still works for us and we have no need to change to anything else right now.

Yotpo seems to have more ways to integrate your reviews with other features on your site, but Growave is a simple solution for people who aren't actively focusing their attention on reviews. Yotpo also seems to have better filters for negative keywords and swear words (important for children's toy company). However, Yotpo carries a much higher price tag.

• It's allowed us to keep cost down. Other phone systems can seriously get outrageous in implementation and monthly fees!
• It's allowed our team the confidence to work in locations outside of the office and still be seen as professionals.
• It's decreased the amount of time spent on unwanted sales calls via the call screening application.

• Consumers truly enjoy the loyalty point program.
• The App makes it very fluid for easy log in's by the consumer.
• E-mail Notifications and retention programs are effective.
