Again we are recruiters, so we are prepared to handle the inflow of hundreds of resumes per job. I know it can be tough for small employers to handle that many resumes, I think they just need to be prepared for how many they may receive. As I stated before if the option for qualifying questions was added, this would solve that problem

Pros

  • ZipRecruiter has great exposure bringing in a ton of resumes.
  • You have the ability to surf through the applicant database with ease.
  • The user experience design is very user friendly

Cons

  • One of the things that may help improve ZipRecruiter is the ability to filter out applicants that are not a 100% match.
  • A questionnaire can be created to filter out applicants.
  • ZipRecruiter is used as an add on , maybe they can improve to become more of a full lifecycle recruiting applicant tracking system.

The customer services team provides anything I need so there have been no issues from a user standpoint. they respond quickly and provide all the information I need to make the best possible decisions moving forward. With their help we can do anything we need from a campaign stand point with zero difficulty.

Have not had to utilize support recently, but in past instances they have reached out within 12 hours to help rectify any problems or answer any questions about features and functionality. The only issue I ever had with them was trying to clarify, when they previously advertised that they posted on 200+ job boards, if that meant that your job would for sure be posted on each job board. Turns out, by the way, that they only guarantee distribution, not posting

Alternatives Considered

ZipRecruiter was a easy choice since the prices are affordable and the return on investment was a quick turn around based on our statistics and reports. We felt it was a good add to our staffing tools cause of the exposure it gave our jobs. We tried out a couple of other services but the design made it real easy for the company to accept and begin using right a way since it is self explanatory.

Return on Investment

  • It really made a huge impact on finding lower to mid level Technical resources. It increased our hires to an additional 2 placements per month using ZipRecruiter.
  • The downfall to ZipRecruiter is that it may lack a true applicant tracking service, since there are larger systems out there, staff may not rely on it as often.
  • It met the business objective which was to get our jobs exposed online through social media and other places.
