I am a UK Tax Consultant advising High Net Worth Clients many of whom I have acted for in excess of thirty years.
Since April 2020 I have operated via my own UK Limited Company which is the vehicle for providing these services.
As you can imagine trust is critical and having a time recording programme allows me to send a complete breakdown of time expended when I issue bills to my Clients.

Pros

It allows me to charge different rates for different tasks
As a non-tech 65 year old I find the software easy top navigate and use with information provided in a format that suits me. I can set up different matters for the same Client. This is very useful given the nature of my work which ranges from simple compliance - preparing and submitting Returns to the tax authorities - to undertaking complex and lengthy planning execises - business sale, Inheritance Tax and succession planning etc.
Beebole allows me to generate PDF copies of my timesheets that I email to Clients when I issue them a fee note
I can check Work In Progress quickly and easily on a Client by Client and Matter by Matter basis

Cons

As stgated earlier I charge different rates for diffgeerent sorts of tasks eg Tax Compliance £X per hour Tax Consultancy £Z per hour. These tasks are present in many different Clients but when I want to increase these charges there does not seem to be a quick and easy way to do it and instead the changes have to be made on a Client by Client basis.

Individual project hours export to QuickBooks Desktop - I hear this works for QuickBooks online but not for Desktop

I use Beebole to keep track of all of our project's progress and use it to add new projects/customers to our company profile. I use Beebole for every single project we have and all new projects! I set up all new projects/customers and I love the add PM option because we use that all the time.

Our IT department has offshore staff and consultants and we use Beebole to manage their HR onboarding and timesheets across many business units and projects. Due to the nature of starters/leavers we need a flexible platform to meet our specific needs.

Pros

Excellent troubleshooting.
Fast and efficient response to queries arising, with an actual person to email, not a chatbot.
Trust - we had an uptick in new starters due and didn't have enough licenses. Beebole agreed to assign the licenses even though the purchase order wasn't in effect yet.

Cons

We're happy with the features, but then we only use the HR timesheet function.

Efficient HR processes are vital in a fast moving project environment. We run many SAP projects with offshore people onboarding/leaving every month.
