Our organization is into manufacturing and deal with largescale industries to create a mobile unit to help customers across the country. We bought some cradle point devices to install them in the units with a complete network wardrobe.
  • Stable bandwidth.
  • IoT devices works just better with it.
  • It is lot more complex to use.
  • Pricing should be less.
While working with them, they don't always go and constantly explain and answer all your questions, operating your device as if you need it to work. Every organization needs router, small or large and Cradle point router is best considering all factors.

We utilize these devices in a couple of aspects.
1. They are mobile devices to give us internet access to create or "duplicate" our Dispatch center at basically any location. Provides phone and Internet for access to software applications utilized for EMS dispatch.
2. Mobile internet devices for access in emergency service vehicles.
  • Provide Internet Access.
  • Ability to Control and configure remotely.
  • Dependable cellular coverage and access.
  • Could be more cost effective.
  • I actually like most of what they have for configuration remotely and templates.
  • UI and finding some settings online, could be a but more user friendly.
It has worked great for our emergency vehicles and mobile remote dispatch stations. We did have them at other bases as secondary internet access in the event of failure of our fiber, but I have found that is not as useful as we thought it may have been. I have temporarily disabled cellular on those devices and just did not have the need for it.

I am using a Cradlepoint Cellular Router as part of my failover system. Time is an important factor when it comes to uptime in our area. There are quite a few outages on all websites, regardless of ISP. Since the backup is not based on physical characteristics, we chose cellular failover and succeeded. You now have a reliable wireless failover that covers all your needs.
  • Installation and configuration was quite simple.
  • Impressively scalable.
  • Compact size device.
  • Firmware updates are frequent.
  • Nothing apart from this.
Cradlepoint Routers isn't too short, but the device I'm using is a router. It is no different from other routers other than WAN Cellular. Deployment was easy, reliable, and supported by a good support team. We recommend this as part of your ISP's failure plan. This is suitable for any company, big or small, that needs a cellular solution for failover and even as a basic Internet connection.

Our organization is an MSP that has partnered with a large healthcare provider to stand up a mobile medical unit to assist patients all over the country. We purchased a few of the cradle point devices to install in the units with a full network cabinet, in addition, to building out a full HIPAA secured mobile workstation.
  • Better than other solutions for integration with full network cabinet.
  • Better build quality that others.
  • External antenna connector.
  • Throughput was not great compared to similar solutions with same sim cards.
  • Paid management portal.
  • Overly complicated setup mainly due to the paid management portal.
If redundancy (dual sim slots for failover) and minimal hardware is what you are looking for then the cradle point does a great job and with the option of an external antenna, it adds lots of versatility to the setup. However, the throughput and the management portal really put a damper on our opinion of going with this product again as the throughput was around half of that of other solutions with the same card.

Used for the owner of the company that lives in a remote location with no landline internet.
  • Easy to configure
  • Works with most mobile providers
  • Reliable
  • Needs to support latest mobile devices
  • Would prefer more flexibility with antennas
  • More frequent firmware updates
Great for use when the landline is not an option. Needs to have a strong cellular signal in the area.

Needed connectivity for a construction crew trailer office on our property during a rebuild of a tornado-damaged section of our campus. The CradlePoints worked awesomely!!
  • Provide connections for internet via cellular
  • Manage the traffic well
  • Gives you insight to the usage and traffic patterns
  • The only complaint has to do with the cellular providers not the device
When you need connections and cannot run wire to the location. This solution offers great WiFi connectivity!

We use the Cradlepoint solution as our secondary and tertiary failover solution for our network.
  • Ease of setup. After the SIM card is installed, you can have the device up in a matter of minutes.
  • Central management using NetCloud.
  • You get the bang for your buck.
  • I have nothing negative to say about the Cradlepoint solution.
It is suited for any company, small or large, who needs a cellular solution for failover and even as their primary connection to the internet.
It has always been a pleasure working with that team. They always go above and beyond with getting the device working as you need it to work and are always willing to explain and answer any questions.

We use Cradlepoint cellular routers as part of our failover systems. In Chicago, the weather is a big factor when it comes to uptime. No matter the internet carrier, we see quite a bit of outages for all of our locations across the Chicagoland area. We decided to go with a cellular failover so that our backup was not dependent on physical lines, and it has paid off. We now have a reliable wireless failover that covers all of our needs.
  • The device is a nice compact unit, with great reception in all areas of Chicago.
  • Set up and configuration was very easy.
  • The Netcloud Management portal service is a must! It allows me to manage all of our Cradelpoint from a management console.
  • My only complaint is that when we got the device, it was not really clear what gateway address we needed to use. It took some time to figure this out initially, but after getting in touch with Cradlepoint support, we had what we needed to fully deploy all locations.
  • Dual power supply and network ports would be nice so that we can tie into redundancy systems.
Not to sell Cradlepoint short, but the device we use is a router. No different than any other router, except with a cellular WAN. The device was easy to deploy, reliable, and backed by a great support team. I recommend this as part of ISP fail-over planning. Plus, Cellular is cheap. Cost per location is $50 per month for Verizon service that gets used four-five days of the year.
