Facebook Live has become a valuable tool for various users and organizations, offering a range of use cases based on user experiences. For businesses, the platform provides a means to advertise products and gather real-time feedback during live streams. It helps attract potential customers, generate leads, and reduce the need for cold calling. The interactive nature of Facebook Live facilitates audience engagement and promotion by allowing participants to be added and acknowledged. It also helps build strong connections between individuals by enabling them to see emotions and interact in real-time. By addressing a large audience at once, Facebook Live saves users from having to individually address every person.

For educators and content creators, Facebook Live is a valuable platform to teach others about life tips, wellness, and other educational topics. It offers the potential for incorporating lesson plans and reaching a large number of people simultaneously. Additionally, Facebook Live serves as a useful tool for churches to provide remote attendees with real-time glimpses of services and community events. This feature has proven critical during the pandemic, allowing church organizations to connect with their congregation and attract new visitors.

Facebook Live's use cases extend beyond business and education. It also serves as a convenient substitute for video conferencing tools like Skype and Skype for Business, facilitating instant interaction with the audience. Furthermore, the platform is effective for sharing events, covering breaking news, conducting interviews, and promoting brand marketing at no cost. It allows businesses to stay top of mind with consumers through an additional touchpoint. Moreover, Facebook Live enables individuals to share experiences, connect with people worldwide, share moments with friends in real-time, and capture real-time incidents or situations for public awareness.

While there may be challenges such as video quality concerns or difficulties in setting privacy settings, these can be supplemented with third-party software solutions. Overall, Facebook Live provides a versatile platform for various user needs - from marketing to education to personal connections - offering a range of benefits such as increased sales and exposure for businesses, enhanced customer interaction and reach, and the ability to share real-time experiences with a wide audience.

Convenience of Access: Users appreciate being able to access Facebook Live through the Facebook platform, as it allows them to easily reach a large audience and share videos. Several reviewers have mentioned that this convenience is a major advantage of using Facebook Live.

Real-time Interaction: The ability to communicate with a large audience and receive real-time comments and feedback is highly appreciated by users. Many reviewers have stated that this feature creates a more interactive and personal connection with the audience, enhancing their livestreaming experience.

Increased Reach: Users value the ability to connect with their solidified fan base and customers through Facebook Live, as it increases their reach and allows for real-time interaction. Several users have mentioned that this increased reach has led to better awareness, increased donations, and participation in programs and education materials.

Poor Audio/Video Quality: Many users have expressed concerns about the poor quality of audio or video during Facebook Live sessions, which can negatively impact customer engagement. Some reviewers have mentioned that the low quality makes it difficult to hear or see clearly, affecting the overall viewing experience.

Privacy Concerns: There are privacy concerns associated with Facebook Live, especially given Facebook's reputation. Users worry about their personal information being easily displayed to the public and express discomfort with anyone being able to join and leave comments, potentially leading to inappropriate comments and misuse of the platform.

Limited Features and Functionality: Several users have mentioned limitations in terms of features and functionality on Facebook Live. They dislike not being able to add friends or other participants to a live stream, as well as the inability to edit livestreams after they end. Additionally, finding older live videos on a page with high activity can be challenging for some users.

Users have made several recommendations for using Facebook Live. One recommendation is to utilize third-party streaming platforms, which offer more options beyond the basic features of Facebook Live. Another recommendation is to pay attention to comments and engage with viewers during live streams to foster a sense of community. Users also suggest preparing and testing before going live, ensuring a smooth experience by checking audio, video, and setup. Additionally, it is advised to research the best times to post live videos for maximum engagement.

Facebook Live helps in covering events and programs. It provides live feeds and online real-time video. We can increase the engagement of the audience and increase the audience size and location with the help of Facebook Live. Facebook Live breaks the boundary of the audience, and it can cover the event on a global level, making a local event into a global one. We are able to generate leads across the globe by reaching audiences across various geographic boundaries.
  • Global coverage
  • Real time video
  • Increase captive audience size
  • Increase reach of the event
  • Storage of data and video
  • Internet connection issues
  • User friendliness
  • Graphical user interface
  • Audio video synchrony
It's best suited for global events or events where a large audience has to be covered. It doesn't suit small and local events where it just becomes a tool to capture video. It will be helpful to cover a maximum audience when it is relevant to audiences across different regions. Facebook Live makes the event a national or international event if used properly.
  • Higher coverage
  • Higher cost for setup of equipment
  • Mobile phone gives limited screen coverage
  • Live streaming has 2 second delay

We use Facebook live to easily contact a large number of customers. We can broadcast an announcement or information to many people at the same time, saving us a lot of time. We use Facebook live anytime we are releasing a new product or update. We also use Facebook live to broadcast our internal zoom calls for those who can't join the call.
  • Live Broadcasts
  • Webinars
  • Broadcasting information
  • Conversational Chat
  • Prompting reactions
  • Can be glitchy
  • Doesn't integrate well with every software
  • Comments glitch
Facebook live works well if you want to broadcast a meeting, webinar, or event to a lot of people, giving them an opportunity to interact in the comments. If you're looking for something more internal or don't want the information to be public, don't use Facebook live. It's great for broadcasts!
  • Helping us reach more new potential customers
  • Huge enrollment periods
  • Conversation and community with customers
Facebook Live is similar to StreamYard, although it serves a slightly different purpose. We like using both together. StreamYard can allow you to bring multiple people into the Facebook live stream, although offers some new glitches as well. Facebook live is smoother and works better for our advertisement / informational broadcasts.
