Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom for payroll, time tracking, performance, engagement, and training.
Pros
- Paycom has incredible service. If we ever have an issue, which is rare, they respond quickly and helpfully.
- The platform is extremely user friendly
- Nearly everything is extremely customizable. For example, we were able to make a performance program that is very specific for our org.
- It makes payroll super fast! I went from spending two days on payroll to 2 hours.
Cons
- Certain features can be overwhelming because they are SO customizable. A default or simple option might be nice for some features.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is incredible for payroll and timekeeping. It does mot things extremely well. If you're aiming for more of a "fun" platform, it may not be the best fit. For example, some platforms offer a "social media" section or image sharing. If you want a platform that makes HR a breeze, Paycom is for you.
Paycom Is an Excellent Choice for HR Management
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Paycom is a one-stop shop for all things HR related. It simplifies many HR activities by placing them in a single place. It's interface is intuitive and user friendly, and the app is real handy for employees to manage time, approve their time, request time off, manage benefits, etc. Obtaining and keeping records of required employee acknowledgements, training, and other activities can also easily be managed in Paycor.
Pros
- Manages employee time card, and approvals
- Manages employee time off requests and absence tracking
- Manages any required documents for authentication by the employee
- Has intuitive dashboards that are customizable for Management
Cons
- The app is great, but not all functions of Paycom are available in it.
- Making the initial landing page a little more user friendly would be helpful, but overall it's great
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is well suited for organizations with up to 500 employees like ours, but I have not experience with it in a larger organization. We have used Paycom to communicate important policy changes to our employees and were able to obtain acknowledgements electronically. This completely eliminated a manual process of tracking sheets of paper and creating lists of those who were not compliant and emailing managers and employees to get compliance. That's huge for us.
Happy with Paycom
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom as our HRIS system that covers payroll, benefits, compliance, and also ATS.
Pros
- Easy to use interface
- Lots of self help features
- Mobile app is easy to use
Cons
- Customer service response time
- Better ATS system- not many functions
- Their org chart is not public. When an issue needs to be escalated, it is not easy to know who to speak to.
Likelihood to Recommend
We really like the system overall, despite some hiccups or growing pains. Overall, it is very easy to use from an Admin and also an employee side. We can incorporate trainings through the system, which is also very nice to be able to do.
Paycom is Great
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom to handle our payroll and all the associated tasks involved in completing that function. They help us get the taxes situated and have helped us with other unusual instances of paying our employees
Pros
- Payroll production
- Forms needed for the IRS regarding payroll function
- Our assigned Paycom agents are always able to answer our questions and walk us through step by step.
Cons
- We had to recently issue paper checks ourselves and the taxes associated with the paper checks were not being accounted for in the system.
Likelihood to Recommend
We have had very few complaints in the entire history of our company using Paycom as a provider. All in all the experience we have with Paycom is all very positive. If there's an issue, they are prompt to correct it.
Check out Paycom for all your HRIS needs
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom for applicant tracking, HRIS, performance reviews, payroll and timekeeping. Pretty much everything Paycom offers.
Pros
- Storing data
Cons
- Performance reviews are a challenge
- Onboarding is always changing, frustrating
- Not all updates are appreciated
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited: Paycom works for our size company, manageable system for 250+/- employees. We always had issues with customer service. We just got [...] a few months ago and she is great. Responsive, fast. Please DO NOT take her away from us.
less appropriate: reporting is frustrating, I get frustrated when I am trying to pull data and can’t figure out how to ask or what the report is called.
Paycom review.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom as our HRIS and payroll processing company. We use Paycom for all tax processing, leave management, and benefit management. They process our WOTC and accruals. We utilize the report writer function to process benefits payments, track points and time for hourly employees, and manage other HR tasks. We use Paycom for all our needs except our learning management system.
Pros
- Process our payroll.
- Organize our leave management.
- Applicant processes through the applicant tracking.
- Reporting for accruals.
Cons
- Getting your specific benefit specialist on calls.
Likelihood to Recommend
For our company's needs, Paycom has been our source for 10 years. In the five years that I have been administering the payroll and benefits, the system has steadily improved, and the customer service I have received has been wonderful. Paycom has been instrumental in supporting its clients.
HRIS Critic
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Paycom for a full HRIS system. It is our Payroll system, performance discussions, performance reviews, basically the entire journey of the life of an employee. This systems helps ease communication barriers we are a large corporation across the United States.
Pros
- Payroll
- Performance Reviews
- Great filters
Cons
- Consistent system updates causing things to change a lot
- The whole reporting area needs better advancements that are adjustable for the end user
- Ease of use on where changes can effect different places within Paycom
- With multiple payroll profiles better transition for employees who move between payroll profiles.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is a system that allows for the end user to make a majority of the changes within the system. It can sometimes be difficult to navigate when you are unsure if the change made will need to be updated elsewhere in the system or if there will be a downward effect. Most other systems I have used that have multiple companies/payroll profiles and an employee moves from one company to another, you have to term them and rehire them into the new company. Paycom allows for transition between but still has issues. The time card hours will move to the new payroll profile when they still need to be paid out of the last. We turned a feature on but this caused our benefits to get skipped. Turned on another feature to capture the benefits and it caused the benefits to double (one in each payroll profile).
Paycom Review
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I usually, every two weeks will approve my check, so I've only gone in there a couple of times to approve my check.
Pros
- It sends me reminders and updates that I need to approve my check. I haven't really, other than that, I haven't been through it much.
Cons
- I feel like my sign-on could have been a little bit easier. I feel like I struggled a little bit. I couldn't give you an example of what, I can't exactly remember what it was, but I struggled a few weeks ago logging in and getting my account set up. So I feel like maybe an easier sign on might've been better I guess, but I have no issues now.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it's really appropriate for businesses like this because it has a couple things I have to log into and make sure it's me and it seems very advanced and more straight to the point than other platforms. I'm not really sure I'm so new to this.
Paycom Review
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
Really just as an employee, we use it really to check on anything that's applicable myself from pay to time off and a bunch of other activities including benefits.
Pros
- Tells me where my money is, which is most important, as well as time off and other types of benefit options. All important to me.
Cons
- I don't have any suggestions at this time. I'm pleased with it.
Likelihood to Recommend
I mean, overall for me, I just think it's very convenient to use, easy to access. And as an individual, I just think it's convenient, it's easy. No room for improvement in my opinion. You keep doing what you're doing.
Paycom Review
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We mostly use it for payroll management. We also use it for document management, so things like compliance, documentation that needs signature, as well as putting in time off requests and other typical HR use cases.
Pros
- Management of time off requests is very easy, pretty straightforward to utilize and certainly the document management is also very easy to utilize as well.
Cons
- I believe Paycom could do a better job at partnering with external companies to provide certain services.
Likelihood to Recommend
The primary payroll functions are well built. The benefits management modules and components could probably be a little bit improved upon.
