RingCentral Video - A Strong Addition to a Strong Tool

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral is the all in one communications platform, and RingCentral Video just adds another feature to take Zoom and Teams off the table. It solves our ability to speak with customers "face to face" in this ever changing, remote work environment. Bundling everything they offer makes the most sense business wise.

Pros

 • Allow face to face meetings with customers
 • Easy to learn interface
 • Allows packaging with their other products

Cons

 • Differentiate more between RingCentral Video and Zoom/Teams

Likelihood to Recommend

I gave it a 7 as it's similar to Teams and Zoom. I would purchase it as part of a bundle with their other products, but as a standalone, Teams probably costs less. Its well suited for sales reps with large territories, less suited if customers come to your physical location.

Thumbs Up to RingCentral Video

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the RingCentral Video product not only to collaborate with internal and external customers, but we also use it to communicate with injured workers / providers on home modifications as well as onboarding / training for our remote employees.

Pros

 • Communicate
 • Platform Uptime
 • Innovate

Cons

 • Provide detailed training on products and services
 • Assist when working with 3rd party vendors
 • Bring solutions to me, not the other way around

Likelihood to Recommend

I've never had any technical difficulties while participating on a RingCentral Video meeting. One thing that was cumbersome was when they migrated from RingCentral Meetings to RingCentral Video, it was a bit labor intensive to migrate existing meetings, so that could have been easier.

Help let RingCentral take your business to the next level!

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RingCentral Video to connect with potential clients and discuss the products we sell. We run an international company and it is hard to meet all clients in person, so RingCentral Video allows us to speak with them and make a stronger connection. The quality of the calls is great and reliable.

Pros

 • Clear Calls
 • Call reliability and no drops
 • Can call people worldwide

Cons

 • Pricing
 • Ease of use

Likelihood to Recommend

For a phone service, RingCentral is one of the top options available on the market and one I would highly recommend to other organizations if you have a budget. Getting your contacts set up can be tricky, but once you have onboarded everything, it is a great product to use daily.

RingCentral for a Small Firm

Rating: 6 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral is one of several video comms solutions we use at my 3 lawyer criminal defense and personal injury firm. We are called on to meet with clients on pretty much every platform out there, so RingCentral was always going to be a part of that. We use RingCentral for telephony and fax, so the video was an easy addition. It is not our primary, but it is necessary.

Pros

 • Easy to use
 • Easy to onboard
 • Industry staple

Cons

 • Could use more broad acceptance.
 • All RingCentral Apps are GUI are clunky
 • The costs would be nice to see reduced.

Likelihood to Recommend

RingCentral is very good if you are a RingCentral office, as it is rare than most video comms services and less well known but it works very well when you have inbound comms. We prefer other video services for most video meetings, but it is nice to have Ring Central as a backup.

Make meetings easy.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral Video is used for meetings in my company, the problem this helps with is the fact that our headquarters are in Missouri. We also have 4 different locations that staff work at in the area of the job I am on. So RingCentral Video helps with keeping all of us connected and coordinate our day to day business.

Pros

 • People from all over can coordinate together for jobs.
 • Very clear pictures and sound.
 • Very few glitches when conducting meetings.

Cons

 • The mute button for people who don't.

Likelihood to Recommend

I haven't found a scenario where RingCentral Video wasn't suited for the job at hand.

RingCentral review by tech pro

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We shifted to this during the pandemic for our monthly board and committee meetings. It complements the RingCentral phone system well and does not cost very much for use to use which is very important for a non-profit like Job Point.

Pros

 • Easy to use.
 • Great video quality.
 • Good sound quality.

Cons

 • Add polling functionality.
 • Add break-out rooms.
 • Add custom backgrounds.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is great for organizations that need decent functionality at a fair price or who don’t already have an integrated solution for unified communications.

A great tool for video conference that every business should have

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RingCentral Video as the main conference tool to communicate within the organization as well as to communicate with our potential customers. It is a very simple, easy-to-use platform that allows to schedule calls, record calls, and conduct webinars. It even allows a user to join the call using a web browser.

Pros

 • One click solution to conduct video calls and conferences.
 • Intuitive UI and great app to view call recordings, run reports and analyse call data.
 • Easy to set up and adopt quickly.

Cons

 • Sometimes, RingCentral Video does not allow users to join a call without the desktop/mobile app.
 • Call recording data is limited to past six months only.
 • The new desktop has some glitches.

Likelihood to Recommend

Ring Central is best suited if you're from an enterprise organization.

Their pricing is flexible.

The platform is easy to set up and launch, so no onboarding delay time or user adoption issues.

The desktop app makes it very convenient to use.

It syncs with your calendar seamlessly. They even have a google calendar add-on.

Honest and Straight Forward Appraisal with Comparisons

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Obviously, we use RingCentral for our virtual meetings. We are using it for interviews, clients meetings, internal meetings, and happy hours. Meeting virtually does a substantial amount to solve our problem of not being in the office or being able to be in front of customers regularly. We still meet with clients who use TEAMS, ZOOM, etc... so we are seeing all the platforms and Ringcentral actually works pretty well. There are a few bugs that never seem to get fixed, but once you work around a few things, it's easy to use and idiot-proof. The biggest PROs are it's easy to use and is pretty reliable. The cons are the apps are clunky and not well designed. We get a lot of external people asking us to use their virtual meeting platform of choice because they "don't want to register". Even though you don't have to register to use RingCentral, that isn't super obvious [on] the login page. And my biggest con is the format RingCentral uses on the Outlook invite is analog and 5 thousand letters long. All in all, it's all about the product though, and it is a good product for the price.

Pros

 • connection quality is good
 • idiot proof and easy to use
 • web based and dont have to setup profile (guests)

Cons

 • RingCentral has changed/updated their apps an annoying amount

Likelihood to Recommend

I think RingCentral Video [is easier] to use than a lot of other platforms. If you are communicating externally the majority of the time I don't think there are a ton of differentiators unless you are looking for features beyond the video chat. For us, we use the call system which is just okay. At the end of the day, we like the video chat quality and price as they [use a similar platform as zoom].

Complete Video Meetings Software

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We evaluated RingCentral Video among others such as RingCentral Meetings, Microsoft Teams, Google Duo, Zoom, WebEx and others. Although RingCentral Video was the easiest to use and also gave comprehensive performance reports, it did not make the cut because of the teams functionality

Pros

 • Performance Reports
 • Quick meeting startup
 • Integration with Google Calendar
 • Integration with Outlook Calendar
 • Meeting recording and editing features

Cons

 • Contact Management

Likelihood to Recommend

RingCentral Video is a great neat platform for quick video meetings that are easy to record and edit. I like that you can delegate moderator functions easily and quickly. Desktop sharing is great for collaboration and even troubleshooting. RingCentral Video is also great for recording instructional videos for educational and instructional purposes.

Easy to use and very reliable!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral is currently being used to communicate with the client, we set meetings and have long conversations using screen sharing, usually without video but with it sometimes. Now, in the work at home part of our life, it is very important to maintain fluent and reliable communication, and RingCentral allows us to do that.

Pros

 • Audio quality is always good if we have good internet.
 • Sharing the screen is easy and simple for every user.
 • Reliability, as all the conference software we need to make sure it's there whenever we need it.

Cons

 • The software might be a bit heavy at first glance, it's worth it though.
 • Many people are still using other platforms like Zoom, therefore, you may need to wait for them to download the software or answer set-up questions in the first meeting (more advertising from the company would help here as well).

Likelihood to Recommend

Whenever you want to have a quick conference with a coworker, share screens and draw on boards, RingCentral is good. If the person already has it installed, that is a plus.
