RingEX

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingEX is our hub for internal and external communications. Having the ability to utilize a call tree amongst the sales team allows us to screen spam calls. The soft phone number lets us avoid having to use actual business mobile lines with a cell carrier. The AI receptionist helps answer simple questions and lets us know who's serious about meeting with us and who's not.

Pros

  • Integrates great with our CRM.
  • We have the ability to make calls from our soft line or the main company number.
  • We can run meetings through the platform if need be.

Cons

  • AI note taking on calls does not always capture the info of the call accurately.
  • The phone app and the app on my CPU don't seem to talk to each other.
  • No need for guest contacts.
  • The texting function does not automatically log to our CRM.

Likelihood to Recommend

RingEX is great for situations where we receive or make calls on one platform and can seamlessly switch to another (e.g., CPU to mobile or vice versa) without the person on the other end knowing. We would rather use our CRM for virtual meetings because it automatically logs, unlike RingEX's video calling.

RingEx Reveiw.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RingCentral is used for all our business client calls and for some intra-organizational messaging. It helps us keep track of our incoming and outgoing calls. Additionally, because we have the app on our mobile phones, it comes in handy when we are on the move. We can pick up our calls and respond to clients on the go, which means fewer missed calls and communications. Additionally, we can keep our work communications separate from our personal calls without using 2 devices.

Pros

  • Keeps call notes with the call assistance.
  • I can view my text messages and calls at a glance on the desktop.
  • Connecting calls on the app seamlessly.
  • The customer service is particularly hands on and helpful.

Cons

  • It will be nice to have more text room monthly.
  • Providing clear instructions on how to access features, as most features are buried in the tabs.
  • The ability to redial a number without having to go back to the settings buttons on the landlines will be nice.

Likelihood to Recommend

RingCentral is generally good for business calls, as its mobile features, combined with landline office options, are great for communication on the go. It is also an affordable option to have a mobile cellular device if you have a lot of staff. Setup especially for multilevel authorization can be a hassle but it works well if well set up, you would have to get help in rectifying this if not calls might be redirected to the wrong extensions and changing it is not very straight forward.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize RingEX for our main phone lines. 15+ sales representatives and several departments rely on RingEX. Tracking calls, ensuring work is done, keeping data and information in one place are a few ways that RingEX addresses any problems we had previously. In addition, being able to use both a cell phone via the App and/or a laptop allows for flexible use of the system.

Pros

  • Internal Transfer of outbound calls.
  • Grouping Extensions for users.
  • Changing what phone number is displayed.

Cons

  • The SMS function on occasion does not operate as expected.
  • Navigating the ADMIN portal can be a challenge if unfamiliar with the system.
  • Drop of service based on connectivity has been an issue in the past.

Likelihood to Recommend

Works well for sales reps who are in the office and working remotely. Good for calls across the United States. A phone signal is needed, and without an internet connection, it will not work. If the company you work for prefers everything to be on one single hub for outbound calls/SMS, this is perfect.

Great asset to your business.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RingEX as our phone system, "Teams communication", and faxing. We love it for the ease of faxing and the confirmation receipt once the fax is complete. The phones track all calls, so we can see whether someone has actually called the office and left a message. The ability to modify office hours in the app is also easy to use and is a wonderful feature. The help desk is also very responsive and helpful.

Pros

  • Faxing and confirmation.
  • Support desk.
  • Answering service call forwarding.
  • Telephone calls tracked - both incoming and outgoing.

Cons

  • Can't think of any.

Likelihood to Recommend

As previously stated, the medical office where we work allows quick, easy, and accurate faxing, call tracking, forwarding to the answering service, etc. I am not sure where it would be less appropriate.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use RingEx to reach everyone in the company. I work with every department and person, including outside the US, such as Canada, with RingEX. I have been able to get in contact via message or call without any issues. RingEX is a well-built, well-maintained platform that I would recommend to anyone.

Pros

  • Messaging is easy to use.
  • Calling is simple.
  • The texting feature allows me to contact outside vendors.
  • I am able to find contacts easily and the UI is good.

Cons

  • More options when away from work/desk.
  • More or simpler methods in finding group messages.
  • An option to see older messages easier.

Likelihood to Recommend

The platform makes it easy to get in touch with anyone in the company. I have been able to call/text and message many people, including those outside the company, without any issues. The UI is simple and user-friendly, which is something very important. Overall, the app and desktop platforms offer a lot of variety and simplicity, and I would definitely recommend RingEX to anyone.

RingEX for the small business with hybrid and remote users.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We switched to RingCentral for its modern interface and capabilities, as well as its cloud-based service. We are using it to replace Teams as the go-to video meeting along with seamless communications for our office-based, remote, and hybrid users. RingEX allows our users to connect via desktop in the office, laptop, and mobile devices to work where they are.

Pros

  • Seamless connectivity.
  • Modern functionality.
  • Cloud based, reliable service.

Cons

  • Support is difficult to work with.
  • Less intro clicks on first time use.
  • Better support answering help desk calls not reading from a script.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need a one-stop solution that supports on-prem, hybrid, and remote users, with the flexibility to move calls around with ease, RingEX is a great choice. The call recording and AI transcription capabilities are also nice for compliance and legal needs.

Great phone features for nonprofits

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For our nonprofit, RingEX provides us phone lines. It helps our staff communicate and seamlessly transfer calls between staff without landlines or bulky equipment. RingEX makes us professional with multiple phone lines, hold feature and music, call transfer, answer first then transfer feature, menu options, voicemail features, and more. The app is intuitive and easy to use for the entire staff. The uptime is also stellar.

Pros

  • Uptime
  • Transfer calls between users
  • Sophisticated features

Cons

  • I would like to have my account rep for more than a few months
  • I'd like RingEX to function better off of wifi (i.e. on cell towers)
  • I'd like an intercom feature to call between staff members

Likelihood to Recommend

I only have 2 hesitations for recommending RingEX. First, it is its high price point for nonprofit and church budgets. While reasonable for its vast offerings and robust features, it is expensive as far as nonprofit budgets are concerned. My second hesitation would be its lackluster connectivity outside of wifi, that is, when connected to cell towers.

Great system that modernized our outdated phone system

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I mainly use RingEX to input and organize our practice's on-call tree and it is easy to use and didn't require too much difficulty when I first started to learn it. I appreciate the ease and user-friendly templates. We used to use physical phone systems to set up our complicated call tree and call forwarding, and this is much easier to set up monthly.

Pros

  • User friendly templates
  • Easy call forwarding setup
  • Easy to learn the system as a new user

Cons

  • It takes a long time to setup the call queue in call tree
  • The custom rules take a lot of effort and time to setup.
  • Changing phone numbers for listed groups is confusing.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works well for our large medical practice. We especially like the group call forwarding and sending to custom call queues for forwarding. It takes a long time to manually setup Custom Rules in the group call queue forwarding.

RingEX for Petcare

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have 9 different store locations using RingEX. In addition, we have 2 remote employees that assist with calls for those locations, dependent on call volume. We use all of RingCentral's messaging and texting features on a daily basis. Recently, we set up extra phone numbers and IVR menus to aid in call flow and forwarding.

Pros

  • Group messaging
  • Texting
  • Voicemails

Cons

  • Call recording playback
  • Call forwarding/routing
  • Integration with other apps

Likelihood to Recommend

RingEX is well suited for basic business communication across locations. Replying to, reacting to, and adding attachments to messages are all good features. Texting could be better integrated with other apps, but works well for basic needs. Call recordings often cause errors when trying to play them back, but when it works it is very useful. The call forwarding set up we use was a bit more complicated than it needed to be, but we finally got that working well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use AIR in RingEX to screen preliminary lead calls. The AI receptionist acts as a gate keeper and also provides the basic essential information most warm clients are seeking.

Pros

  • Call distribution and forwarding
  • AI Receptionist

Cons

  • SMS - texting links to leads, then confirming.
  • Forwarding Spanish leads

Likelihood to Recommend

Great service and customer support.
