We use Sigma Computing as an embedded solution for our users. We use Sigma to help our customers see high level overview how they are doing in terms of the jobs they completed within the day. If the user is looking at the reports from a management perspective, the reporting shows how their employees are doing at a high level.
  • Sigma does very well in terms of aggregation of data points.
  • Sigma is awesome with support. LOVE the live chat feature.
  • Sigma is great in terms of being very intuitive during the dataset build process.
  • I love how easy it is to build visualizations.
  • The bubble chart feature is very hard to configure.
Sigma is great in terms of aggregation of data. For example, I was trying to aggregate some data points and Sigma was smart enough to allow me to group the data in certain ways. This was something that other platforms were able to do successfully. The Sigma product is really good at making building visualizations and making it very easy to use! Extremely intuitive.

  • It is too early to tell since we are still working on embedding but so far, the data retrieval is very quick.
The ad hoc analysis is soooo easy to do in Sigma. I love quickly building a dataset and immediately being able to "Explore" how the dataset looks like as a visualization.
Sigma is way ahead of Toucan Toco (TT) in terms of ease of use and support capabilities. Without getting too much into the details, Sigma is extremely intuitive to use and doesn't require a huge amount of reading and documentation exploration in order to accomplish a simple task. I highly recommend Sigma for data professionals.

We use Sigma Computing to develop dashboards - these dashboards display information on security analytics and Snowflake personnel analytics. It is used across the entire organization and solves several of our analytical hurdles.
  • Easy graphs
  • Easy to share and display
  • Easy to learn and code into a new dashboard
  • Requires an account to view
  • Need to be code savvy
  • Can be slow based on amount of data
Sigma Computing is a great tool and I would recommend it. It is used for data analytics and providing dashboards to turn numbers into a story.

  • Positive: easy to share with leadership
  • Positive: works with Snowflake for our customers
  • Positive: helps tell stories better than reports do.
It's easy to use and we have been using it for quite some time. Though, someone who is just getting started can quickly pick things up and begin creating beautiful dashboards. Data integration is also pretty seamless even when loading data from Snowflake. I enjoy using it and would recommend it.
Quick, efficient and always helpful.
We are a database organization, so it works seamlessly with Snowflake.
We have, it is something that we leverage within the Security team.
We are able to filter and report on large amounts of data that can be exported or displayed on a dashboard.
I was not involved.
Pretty similar, we look all analytics tools!
1500
The entire organization. It ranges from the security team using it for log analysis and dashboards to the HR team looking at the new hire dashboard. It is an intricate part of seeing the bigger picture with our data and how we can develop strategies to make better use of such data.

There are dedicated resources who actually create the dashboards, set up the connectors, ingest the data and make the configuration changes. Those folks are required to know SQL and basic configuration handling when using sigma. It is a bit of a more technical role and requires patience when you get stuck.
  • Creating dashboards to view data in a picture
  • Exporting reports of just the data we need
  • Sharing dashboards, reports and idea via sigma
  • Using Sigma to share security dashboards rather than the security tools themselves
  • Easy export such as csv
  • Ingesting more data to create even more dashboards that speak to each other
  • Including more teams and their data problems
Because we are very satisfied with the product and would most likely renew because of the services it provides. It is a tool that you bring into your organization and let it change the way you analyze your data, present your data and share you date within the Respective teams.

The most important factor to us was the product functionality and what it could do. We wanted to ensure we brought in a tool that can provide data analytics into dashboards, reports and be easy to share. We are open to collaborating with other teams within to organization to better our platform.
We would evaluate a few more tools to be honest. I believe we covered what we needed to cover with Sigma but would love to have had more time to look at other competing tools in the market. This would’ve helped open our minds to other functionality that is unique to specific tools.
  • Don't know
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled
We take change management seriously and it is required by all tools. So it did not matter that it was sigma. We follow the same procedures with any acquisition process.
  • Learning curve
  • Compatibility with systems
I don’t have enough insight as I was not a big piece of this implementation.
  • no training
There is a bit of a learning curve but a lot of the information is available online. You can do a quick search in your web browser search engine and find what error or functionality you are trying to perform. It’s harder for non-technical folks.
It’s a pretty easily configurable tool that you can make changes yourself. I believe it provides a good amount of flexibility in regards to configurations changes.
I do not. It is all unique to your organization and what you’re looking for! Some teams are more security driven than others so it’ll truly vary.
I believe single sign on was a big one to use but other than that. It is pretty configured already out of the box.
No
I have only used support one time and it was a pleasant experience. They are very quick, polite, knowledge and care for you to fix whatever issue you have run into. The agent I worked with was patient and looking for my problem to be resolved regardless of how long it would take.
  • Ingesting/connecting data
  • Creating dashboards
  • Creating rules in SQL
  • Loading the dashboards with a lot of data
  • Making small changes
It is a cloud service offering that is able to expand based on your usage.
Yes, as long as you don’t conduct user error sigma is always up and running and waiting for you to complete your dashboards.
It depends, it loads quickly for smaller dashboards but when loading larger amounts of data it takes more time to do so.
  • Snowflake!
It isn’t too bad as Snowflake uses connectors to integrate with sigma.

Sounds pretty spot on!
With snowflake, it is a piece of cake! The connectors seamlessly ingest data as applicable to your configured dashboard.
Ensure you follow all appropriate steps and test each step for verification. It’s not a race as long as you make it to the finish line correctly.
Cannot speak to this.
They are great in regards to support and implementation. It’s been nice to have the tool in place and reach out when we run into errors.
Was not part of the negotiations.
Clearly state what you’re looking for in the product, how much your budget is, what your unique environment uses, what your use case of using this tool is and what you hope to achieve in 1 year with using this tool. It is imperative to be transparent in your goals.
  • Can’t speak to this as I do not know.
  • I would love to see faster load times when pulling open a dashboard.
  • More export functionality to maybe . JSON
