Easy Implementation and Connection: Reviewers appreciate the ease of implementation and connection for both internal use and end users. Remote access is being used by about half of the office for remote access to increase productivity as the business is spread across several counties. By using Splashtop, associates can stay in their remote area, but have access to the office environment to create their reports and utilise the server software.
Pros
Fast
Secure
easy to use
easy to manage
Cons
Could use some automation for management of users
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited for just about any situation where a business needs to provide remote access to a bunch of machines or certain machines. Management can assign users to machines individually or by groups.
For the last 5 years it has been a reliable and indispensable tool. It allows real-time monitoring. It addresses LogMeIn's surprise price hikes. Even with RMM, this tool is important.
Pros
Remote Access: Simple to use.
Monitoring: App opens and computers are just there.
Reliability: My team has never had a problem with access.
Cons
Low resolution mode not hidden behind premium.
Ability to turn off MFA for users.

If pricing is competitive, a 10/10. My plan is grandfathered in, so 8/10

Team Lead in Information Technology (501-1000 employees)
I am a volunteer for a local non-profit, assisting with their technology needs. The organization houses a large second-hand store (accepting local donations) using the proceeds to assist in clothing local, low-income students. Their needs include many older volunteers that have a low understanding of technology. The organization has a network that includes a Windows file server and 5 desktop machines. Their network switch is advanced, connecting computers and VOIP in a shared environment. With the office located 9 miles from my home, I needed a solution for connecting remotely to resolve minor user issues and to provide proper server maintenance without the need for travel. I learned about Splashtop online and was pleased with the price of their basic plan. Decided to give it a try with their 7-day trial. The software was quite simple to configure and I was using it within minutes of deployment. Of course, my needs are minimal compared to teams managing large networks but I am confident the solution would work equally well in those environments.
Pros
Remote Server Management
Easy to understand user interface
Allows me as a volunteer to spend more time on issues since travel is not needed
Cons
A VPN would be helpful for some non-remote access duties
Likelihood to Recommend
Based on the price of their basic plan, Splashtop is easily the best solution available for small installations like mine. I am confident with their security implementation and reconnection to devices after a remote restart have never failed me. They feature many higher-level tools and solutions but I've just never needed to use them.
We were a ConnectWise customer but disillusioned by its terrible performance over the last couple of years. Before we let it renew we decided to look at alternatives. Good performance was a must, as was M365 SSO authentication. Splashtop checked all of the boxes, and the performance is AMAZING compared to ScreenConnect. Two departments here (IT and Production) use it to access on prem computers as well as all staff laptops for support.
Pros
It's fast. Almost like sitting at the physical machine
It "just works". Install is easy and it doesn't "get in the way" of other apps
Price is competitive to what we were already paying
Cons
Compared to our prior solution, Splashtop does not "organize" devices nearly as well. They need some some sort of tagging solution so that you can, say, pull up a list of "all machines at this campus" or "All Macs at this site"
The Business App that runs locally feels clunky, and is presented in a weirdly-sized window
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for an IT department's remote access into any machine they control, whether it be a physical computer, a VM server, or an end user Laptop. We wouldn't use it for end user access to on site machines because of cost (it would get too expensive to get that many simultaneous licenses)... but we don't have that need, anyway.
We're using it for remote technical support and it's been working great so far. It's fast, very easy to set up on the clients and can even be used through a webbrowser alone. It's a great replacement for TeamViewer since their price is now super high.
Pros
Easy client set up
Organized information
Low latency
Cons
The cheapest tier does not show online status
Client setup could be even simpler
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for technical or IT remote support. The bottom tier is not suited to full enterprise management, but the higher tiers (which I trialed) are great for monitoring machines, like security and OS updates.
Currently we use it to manage systems that don't work well with Kaseya's VSA X. Some users prefer the Splashtop remote tool feature set. Also use the SOS licensing for all remote support for clients not on support Plans.
Pros
Ease of use
Generally very stable
Ease to manage
Cons
Better support for large or much smaller resolutions at the client side
Direct integration with Microsoft RDP
Likelihood to Recommend
Anyone that needs constant remote access and uses it more than a few minutes per day would be pretty happy with the speed and performance of Splashtop Business.
There's a handful of users who sometimes work from home and need access to their computers at the office. Splashtop allows them the ability to easily do this from home. The ability to assign a user to multiple computers was a necessary feature for our organization that we frequently utilize.
Pros
User Management
User Access
User Groups
Cons
The UI could be a little easier to navigate
Chat Support function with a device is only available in Desktop App
Less complex pricing could be helpful
Likelihood to Recommend
Splashtop works well for smaller teams. The price is reasonable and it has the features we need. Multi-monitor support is a requirement and Splashtop handles this well. We also needed the ability to assign a single user to be able to access multiple workstations as needed. This is easy to set up, but may take a bit to understand how users and groups work in relation to being assigned to workstations.

We are a small support team that supports hundreds of computers across the US. Splashtop allows us to leverage our team without getting on a plane or spending too much time walking our users through a particular issue. It is exactly as if we are on the remote computer. Splashtop has become essential to our department and our business.
Pros
I can remote in and not interact with the user to solve their issue.
Splashtop makes it so I see everything the user sees and can interact with the computer the same way that our users do.
Splashtop allows us to create a detailed inventory of computers and gathers information that is more difficult to get from Intune.
Cons
Splashtop reporting could be better.
Adding and removing an administrator was a nightmare. That process needs to improve.
Likelihood to Recommend
Splashtop is great for remote support environments. Anytime a support person needs to access a computer remotely we go to Splashtop. <div>

Splashtop works great. We use to attach to the computers outside the building in our organization. Allow our users to show us what they are having issues with so we can correct.
Pros

easy for the user to install and give the number to tech support
allows the user to see what the tech is doing
user can be interactive with tech and show you exactly what they are doing
Cons
setup is somewhat tricky
