Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

We're using it for remote technical support and it's been working great so far. It's fast, very easy to set up on the clients and can even be used through a webbrowser alone. It's a great replacement for TeamViewer since their price is now super high.

Pros

  • The cheapest tier does not show online status
  • Client setup could be even simpler
  • Reduces or eliminates the need to travel
  • Reduces the time to resolve issues
It's very easy to identify which computer you're looking for and quickly connect. I had to enter the user's password but noted there is an option to save credentials for future connections.
Splashtop seems to be a secure application, but I have not deeply investigated the protocols and standards used.
Onboarding and getting going with Splashtop was extremely quick, account setup and testing started within a few minutes.
Yes - We previously used TeamViewer but the price was higher than we're willing to pay.

Great for technical or IT remote support. The bottom tier is not suited to full enterprise management, but the higher tiers (which I trialed) are great for monitoring machines, like security and OS updates.
