Save time and clearly communicate with you clients and peers.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am in a client-facing role I use Zight daily. Its screenshot and video recording features make it easy to explain concepts, share updates, and demonstrate product workflows clearly and quickly. Instead of long emails or meetings, you can send short, visual messages that reduce misunderstandings and speed up decision-making. Zight also helps you keep communication organized, track views, and present information in a more engaging, professional way when working directly with clients.

Pros

  • Screenshot capture & Sharing.
  • Easy to set up CTAs.
  • Video recording & sharing is very quick and easy.

Cons

  • just like any learning model it does take some time for the transcriptions to be 99% accurate.
  • There are times where recording appear to be a bit blurry making the experience not as professional.
  • there are some UI issues when it comes to video recording and editing that limit the amount of customization when sharing.

Return on Investment

  • fast time to value. there is training required to be able to be successful with Zight which makes for quick implementation.
  • Clearer communication faster support response.
  • internal communication is clear, less internal mistakes.

Capable Screen Recorder with Powerful Annotation Tools

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have many different tools that facilitate communication with clients, each has its own place in our workflow. However, CloudApp tries to combine many of these tools - quite effectively - to have a centralized hub for our screen recordings and annotated screenshots. All these are nicely organized in a file system. Each project/client can have its own sub-folder (collection). This helps keep all the recordings and files arranged, which is especially useful if you work with many clients. The actual purpose of the recordings is to educate and help our clients. In a web design business, it's essential to help clients in how to use their new website and a screen recording (or a series of recordings) can be very helpful. To explain and answer small questions, the annotated screenshot features are great.

Pros

  • Screen recording
  • Taking screenshots
  • Annotating
  • File management
  • Sharing screenshots/screen recordings with clients

Cons

  • Pricing for individuals should be more competitive
  • Lack of support forum where users could help each other

Most Important Features

  • Screen recording
  • Annotated screenshots
  • Easy sharing of screen recordings/screenshots

Return on Investment

  • We spend less time on explaining
  • Keep a centralized space for client related education material

Outstanding screen recorder software that has the potential to improve how you communicate with your team!

Pros

  • Ability to capture media: screenshots, GIFs and video (including webcam if you'd like)
  • Automatically hosting the images, so these can be previewed by others (this saves *so* much space!)
  • A generous freemium account which gives you a taste of what's possible
  • Cool UI -- CloudApp is really pleasant to use, especially on iOS
  • Great marketing!
  • Great integrations with tools like Slack which automatically preview the screenshots!

Cons

  • Can get buggy or slow to load when you have a large library of media saved
  • The GIF/video capturing can bug sometimes when you are in full-screen mode, but I have a feeling that's connected with going over the limit of the freemium account 😅

Return on Investment

  • CloudApp has improved communication between times and helped us create better content!
