Overall Satisfaction with Acquia DAM (Widen)

Our company uses Acquia DAM to organize and share our digital assets across our company, provide access to our assets for our sales partners and vendors, and assure brand consistency throughout our portfolio. Before our system was set up, there was a lot of variability across our marketing efforts, and files would be lost or not readily accessible. The DAM has streamlined our efforts and increased collaboration and accessibility.
  • Organizing assets.
  • Making assets easily searchable to quickly find what you need.
• Having a wide variety of sharing options to make assets accessible to a wide audience.
  • Better AI tools for search (tagging).
  • More customization on portal design.
  • Has streamlined workflows to give business partners direct access to the assets they need vs. having to burden our team with pulling.
  • Allows real-time tracking of assets to be able to pull outdated assets from the system
  • Embedded collections and portals allow business teams to update content embedded on our websites without having to leverage website teams to update CMS.
It's very seldom that I have to reach out for support, but when I have, there are quick solutions and follow-ups to make sure the system is working how it should be. My customer support team is also great at reaching out on a regular basis to keep me up to speed on emerging features I may be able to leverage to improve my experience.
We have dedicated user roles for our different teams (Marketing, sales, web) to be able to control which assets should be accessible and appear for each business unit. We utilize embedded content and collections on our website to be able to continuously update content without having to leverage our website team and update through our CMS.
We've used file-sharing platforms to share assets, but without any controls, it's a relative free-for-all. There's no control over which assets get used where; it's often dependent on one person's account hosting, or shared assets get deleted or moved if more than one person is using. It also requires duplication in different formats if people don't have software to open larger working files like Photoshop.

Do you think Acquia DAM (Widen) delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Acquia DAM (Widen)'s feature set?

Yes

Did Acquia DAM (Widen) live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Acquia DAM (Widen) go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Acquia DAM (Widen) again?

Yes

Acquia DAM is well suited for large companies that need to organize and control the flow of assets being used by their teams and vendors. It provides much better control than file storage sites like Dropbox, where there's little control over what goes where and almost non-functional search functionality. If you're a smaller company, you may be able to get by or have someone dedicated to doing so, but for larger companies, it really takes a lot of the manual work out of it!
