Overall Satisfaction with Acquia Digital Experience Platform

Barnard College chose the Acquia Cloud platform to host and support both our Drupal public and intranet site. We rely on Acquia to maintain a secure environment, perform updates to Drupal, and advise us in best practices. Our business case for selecting Acquia included the need for a scalable off-premise service that was immersed in the mission of effectively and efficiently offering Drupal as a web content management system.

  • In all honestly, I haven't even scratched past the learning and support content Acquia has made available. I do not have any valid suggestions for improvement, at this time.

I can not speak for the public site, as I was not a member of that implementation team at the time. But for the intranet site, we were able to begin developing and provided a test site fairly quickly - within two weeks. We launched a production site within one month. Launching the Drupal intranet allowed us the ability to retire the legacy portal environment sooner than later.
We practiced this ability and have two sites for our institution. It was straightforward - there's no unnecessary overlap, the sites can remain independent yet flow between the public and intranet site.
We selected Acquia because of the positive references obtained from similar institutions who selected Drupal for it's CMS

We have experienced a few seat changes at our institution that impacted who was supporting our public and intranet sites. Each change over resulted in the need to reach out to Acquia and request an overview of the remote administration process. Acquia responded each time, providing a thorough review and then personally following up to assure we were set. Each Acquia rep I have worked with has focused their attention to reviewing any issue at hand, provided additional resources & highlights, and suggested improvements. They truly are a solid partner in the delivery of a CMS.
