Overall Satisfaction with Act-On

Act-On is being used by the marketing department in the US. The US marketing department is using Act-On for email campaigns, monitoring website visitors and creating landing pages. Our global marketing department has plans to roll out this platform on a global scale for select subsidiaries in the next couple of years. Act-On addresses the need for IT involvement in creating landing pages and email campaigns. Our speed to release email campaigns and landing pages has increased significantly. Act-On also allows us to use behavior based marketing automation which we did not have the ability to do with our CRM marketing platform we were using prior to CRM. Act-On compliments our CRM (SUGARCRM) and allows us to keep track of behavioral scores so that our sales team can view the information as well.
  • User friendly interface is one of the strongest selling point for Act-On. It did not take much time to learn the system.
  • Customer service and support is one of the best I have experienced. From the point of educating during my buying process, through implementation and now even 2 years later they are still supporting me with using other functions of their software that I may not be using to its full potential.
  • Act-On is also priced competitively. That is another strength to Act-On.
  • Act-On could improve by having an editorial calendar where you could plan all of the marketing activities. Currently I am using Google Calendar for all of my marketing scheduling. It would be nice to integrate this into Act-On where I could schedule and color code email campaigns, social media, direct mail, tradeshows, events, etc.

I chose Act-On based on price and that it was a new objective for my company. Act-On is a very robust system that is affordable. I didn't need a complex system. Act-On had what I needed to roll out marketing automation. It also has the ability to scale globally without too much more integration, which is a plus. The other systems have a lot of great features, how for what I needed they did not make sense. I see Act-On adding new features all of the time and I'm sure they will add some of the competitors features, however their system is very robust and easy to use as it is.
I think one of the key things with Act-On is that it can grow as your company grows. We first started off with the lowest number of contacts and realized real quickly the benefits of the system and immediately raised our number of contacts. There are several other systems out there that are very robust and offer more functions than Act-On. However, when comparing the systems, Act-On had what I needed to get started and until I need the other functions I am happy with Act-On. With that being said, Act-On is continuously adding new features and functions. They continually improve and that is one thing I love about working with them.

Using Act-On

I am extremely happy with Act-On's platform and their service. The service for support and account management is one of the best around. I have always received a timely response and have always felt that my account manager or support person owned the problem or request and did everything they could do to solve it or answer any question I may have had.
