Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

We are using ActiveCampaign for both Marketing Automation (i.e. automated educational sequences for existing users) as well as a CRM platform, for managing our Sales pipeline.
  • Very simple drag-and-drop template builder/editor
  • Robust automation planner
  • CRM functionality is sub-par compared to other CRMs
  • Reporting is very basic and lacking advanced functionality [for my needs]
  • Advanced automations, triggers, and connections between workflows are not working well at all
  • [In my experience], the Chatbot is extremely basic and lacking
  • Improved our open and click rates on educational emails for existing users by 10-15%
ActiveCampaign has a great price, which makes it very lucrative, compared to other marketing automation platforms.

If you have a simple mailing list, and are looking for a simple Marketing Automation tool to manage mailing list subscribers and the email communication itself - ActiveCampaign is a great platform for you and well-priced too.

However, if you're a power-user, looking to create complex automations and workflows, and/or looking to manage your actual Sales pipeline - unfortunately, ActiveCampaign is NOT the platform for you.
Consider either going for a different all-in-one or splitting your needs and using ActiveCampaign only for the marketing automation part and not the CRM part.
