ActiveCampaign is Brilliant for Small Businesses Like Mine
Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign
I switched to ActiceCampaign a year or so ago to manage my contacts and email marketing. I was originally using two apps (Mailchimp and Insightly) but found switching between the two apps was super clunky and contacts were falling through the gap, especially with my follow-up. We have sub 5,000 contacts and needed a sales pipeline (in ActiveCampaign this is called Deals) which works incredibly smoothly, and also ensures contacts are segmented out into various lists/tags. The Automations in ActiveCampaign are its most powerful feature as this allows you to build out really tailored landing pages and send specific people very specific content.
Pros
- The deals (Sales Pipeline) feature is amazing.
- The automations are very customisable.
- Integrating into websites and apps is nice and easy.
Cons
- It's quite pricey.
- The site can sometimes be quite slow.
- The dashboard is quite basic.
- It's not made a huge impact on our ROI in £££.
- However it's saved me a lot of time (several hours a week).
- Made it easier for my team to get involved with prospecting.
We switched away from both Mailchimp and Insightly because running two apps became unwieldy and the data wasn't very clean, there was a lot of duplicating of work. They are both excellent pieces of software in their own rights however ActiveCampaign does the job of both of them put together and while it's more expensive than both together I'd happily suck up the extra cost to save time and have more accurate data.
