Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

We use Active Campaign to communicate via email with a large customer list to build relationship and to inform them of current offers. We use typical sending features, along with multiple automations and forms to gather information and send notifications and promotional content for various programs and courses offered by our organization.

  • Pricing is a huge issue
  • They've recently restructured plans and taken features we rely on away from the plan we were on, forcing an upgrade.
  • Would like the ability to copy/paste or duplicate actions when building automations
  • Increases our course sales

We use very few advanced features of Active Campaign. The only advanced feature we regularly use is automations, which were recently removed from our pricing level, forcing us to a higher priced plan. For what we do use it for, the usability is fine, though there are often issues with the email editor that can make laying out emails cumbersome.
We selected Active Campaign several years ago due to its competitive cost and ability to integrate well with other software that we were using. With recent pricing changes, however, we will likely be shopping for alternatives.

Active Campaign is well suited for sending e-mail and setting up automations to deliver items from lead generators. The forms are easy to use, and lists are easy to use with tags. Active Campaign is probably very well suited for a high sales environment. My organization does not heavily use sales funnels or highly customized 1:1 contact communication. Active Campaign has worked well for us even though we are not a high sales environment, however, with the plan restructuring, we lost functionality that now we are forced to pay more for, even though we don't use the other advanced features in the higher plan.
