Overall Satisfaction with ActivTrak
ActivTrak allows us to monitor remote users without micromanaging or being intrusive. It highlights potential issues for further investigation automatically. The ability to see the entire history of a user provides the ability to build a case if needed, or see trends for coaching. Being able to compare the productivity of the team week over week at a glance is a nice bonus as well.
Pros
- Passively monitors activity - both active and passive
- Allows for customization of "productive" and "unproductive" activity
- Tracks usage over time across different devices for an individual user
- Provides supervisors the ability to see only their team
- Reports activity without being resource heavy or intrusive
Cons
- Deletion and merging of users is painfully slow
- Site navigation can be confusing to find the correct dashboard view
- Identified remote users taking advantage of less supervision
- Improved productivity of team YoY
- Identified areas and times of unproductive use that eat into work hours
- Visualization of passive time
- Comparison of target user to rest of team
- Long history comparisons
Our business requires a lot of time on the phone, and using phone logs to overlay on top of ActivTrak logs helps give a complete picture of "passive" time. ActivTrak is a great tool to coach your team on how to prioritize tasks and activities as well as organize schedules to be more efficient.
Seeing the average active to passive time of all users across the company has allowed management to have a better understanding of expectations for what can be accomplished in a workday, and why less passive time does not necessarily mean more productivity.
