Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Analytics

Pros

  • Easy to make dashboards with multiple visualizations
  • Has powerful capabilities that allow us to segment data by different audiences
  • UI is easy to understand for both our team and our stakeholders

Cons

  • The complexity of providing access to dashboards/data can sometimes be confusing
  • Mismatch between data collected by Adobe and other sources like web logs can be hard to troubleshoot
  • Hard to clean up data that has been collected incorrectly
  • Analytics has allowed us to calculate return on investment for UI changes and other similar decisions
  • Analytics provides clear data about the results of A/B tests and other such personalization efforts
  • Analytics provides stakeholders with data about how their KPIs are changing year over year, which is important for measuring the success of a site
Adobe Analytics generally works well as a tool, but in some ways we are locked into the Adobe ecosystem at this point and so it would be difficult to stop using Adobe. Hence, we are likely to continue renewing our use of the tool. Nevertheless, it does a good job at what it says it does.
We configure out reports into site specific dashboards that allow our varied stakeholders to easily self service and get quick insights into how their site is performing. We then also create more targeting dashboards for answering specific questions or looking into a specific campaign as an example. It all depends on what our stakeholders are looking for.
In general, the UI is relatively to navigate and it is easy to become accustomed to figuring out where functions lie. However, there are times where UI updates are made that seemingly make things harder to get too. There are also sections of the tool that are still on an older UI and so it can be jarring to navigate between the two.
Adobe Analytics is a comprehensive tool that enables an entire tracking and analysis stack for our company. The other tools listed above more supplement our adobe analytics tool and do not serve as replacements, hence why we continue to use and choose Adobe for our company and our digital analytics team.

Adobe Analytics is well suited for enabling general analysis of user flows and their experiences. It is generally good at doing this in an anonymous, cohort fashion for large amounts of data. While technically possible, it is not intended for diagnosing or providing data about single or very specific users
