Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Campaign

Adobe Campaign is used by our marketing analytics team and our marketing operations/automation team. We use the software primarily for sending emails and managing data. It helps us send and track personalized marketing email communications to our database and increase engagement with our subscribers and prospects to increase adoption.
  • The offers section makes it easy to update and manage personalized offers in one place.
  • Campaigns offer limitless personalization through JavaScript and SQL blocks.
  • Ability to create templates not only for emails but entire campaigns to streamline processes.
  • Very extensive approval capabilities.
  • Sometimes there are an overwhelming amount of complex tasks to go through before starting a delivery campaign.
  • Lots of opportunity for failure within email deliveries. Important campaign information is often hidden behind multiple tabs you need to sort through.
  • Very poor in-application email editor.
  • In-application reporting is not intuitive.
We have managed to centralize our email communications and recipient data in one place. We have also been able to create complex workflows that have personalized offers and dynamic content to increase engagement with our email communications. We are working on developing more complex and personalized triggered campaigns.
Adobe Campaign offers unmatched customization but is definitely the least intuitive and user-friendly marketing automation tool I have ever used. We selected Adobe Campaign because we use other Adobe Marketing Cloud Products (Analytics and Target) but the integration with those tools is much more arduous than we anticipated.
We have been hoping to integrate with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, and Adobe Audience Manager but the integrations are not intuitive in Adobe Campaign Classic so we are still in the process of acquiring resources to get those integrations working.
If you are a large retailer or a B2C company with a large marketing team, Adobe Campaign offers a huge opportunity to customize your instance and your campaigns to meet any business requirements. This software is less suited to smaller companies or companies with smaller marketing teams that send straightforward communications that don't need a lot of customization. To utilize Adobe Campaign to it's fullest the application requires experienced developers and can be hard for new users to learn.
