Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Commerce

Me and my team worked on the Adobe Commerce for multiple websites of US based clients. We developed Ecommerce sites using both community and Enterprise version of Adobe Commerce. Client were looking for solution that can handle their requirements that includes custom development, Multi-store, Multi-language support, Third party integration with ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways, Shipping service providers, Discounts, promotions, Security, scalability etc.

Pros

Cons

  • Better performance on bulk operations
  • Dashboard design can be improved
  • Setup is a bit complex for beginners
  • Checkout customization is too complex
  • Adobe Commerce projects tend to be big in scope and budget compared to other platforms.
  • We were able to get number of project with high budget and this benefited our organization
  • We also built and launched few extensions and that also helped us financially
  • Working on Adobe Commerce helped us a portfolio of reputed companies and helped in growing our business.
As an experienced user of Adobe Commerce platform, i found the platform complex for beginners yet very flexible to customize as per the client requirements be it a integration with third party system, implementing any payment gateway, managing multiple stores or customising the Adobe Commerce default functionalities, we did not experience issue with it.
Shopify is also a great solution for the customers that comes with different set of benefits and limits when comparing with Adobe Commerce. Shopify provided very limited b2b support, limits in the integration with third party, checkout and theme custimization is limited, Multiple stores can not be created in one account, and because of these features, we preferred Adobe Commerce for Enterprise clients.

A big US brand wanted to handle their 4-5 stores from one one magento account and we were able to use Multi-store feature to provide this. The Client also needed integration with ERPs and CRM, and we were able to integrate with the third party APIs We have been interacting with some smaller clients who are looking for a robust solution but due to the complexity and limited budget/resources they are not able to use Adobe Commerce.
