Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Experience Manager

I work in the ecommerce operations space at my company and serve as the super user for AEM, training content teams on functionality (including enhancements). From my experience, AEM is extremely easy to use and easy to understand. The content tree is laid out very similarly to most content management systems. Publishing is also very easy, I love the ability to automate, as our business publishes promotions that are typically outside office hours. I learned AEM fairly quickly when I first started using it and definitely highly recommend it.

Pros

  • Usability
  • DAM usability
  • ease of publishing and automation

Cons

  • sometimes it can get slow when editing multiple pages
  • components sometimes can break
  • integration with other systems
  • definitely productivity gains from automation
  • ability to localize assets
  • slow to load sometimes when pages have a lot of content
really easy to use and the content structure mirrors most CMS platforms
  • DAM
  • automation
  • view as published status
