Photoshop has features you didn't know you wanted!
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Photoshop
Photoshop is used heavily for marketing, large batch photo adjustments and editing projects within the organization for publication. It allows us to quickly make complex edits in batch to large amounts of images in short amounts of time and is very user friendly. It also allows us to easily convert images to other types.
Pros
- Web image generation.
- Complex editing.
- Converting image formats.
- Batch editing.
Cons
- Support could be improved.
- Steep learning curve for new users.
- Faster image processing saved time.
- Being able to convert to other formats saved time and money.
- Being able to use in conjunction with other Adobe suites also saved time and money.
Corel is nowhere close to the power of Photoshop and I have found that Corel will also not let you convert to certain formats correctly without some loss in quality. The color tools are not as robust and the feature set is lacking. I feel that Photoshop overall has a better representation of tools.

Evaluating Adobe Photoshop and Competitors
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Prior Experience with the Product
I have used photoshop for personal and work projects and can attest to many of the factors I highlighted above. For the price you can not beat the large amount of features included in the software. It is also a product that has an excellent reputation with many others whom are within the editing, photography and creative arts field.
I would user photoshop as my benchmark for future evaluations or if im every required to compare and contrast differences between two pieces of software. There are a handful of features that we would look to compare that would determine the final decision such as conversion aspects and automation capabilities between the softwares.
