Overall Satisfaction with Airtable

An Incredible Project Management Tool

We are a small team of communications and development professionals for a mid-size nonprofit that have multiple events, digital campaigns, editorial calendars, and websites to manage. Airtable helps us do it.


Pros

  • Kanban methodology makes moving a complex of the related task through a series of stages incredibly easy. Things just don't fall through the cracks with this system.
  • The filters are stellar. So easy to find the bits of information you need, displayed in the way that makes sense to you.
  • Allowing for attachments makes sharing information so easy. No more hunting down files on several different servers on our nonprofit's antiquated storage system.
  • The integration between tables in one base is brilliant. Old school spreadsheets come together in a modern, user-friendly display.

Cons

  • The only thing I keep bumping up against is the desire to allow bases to integrate with each other the way that tables within a base do.
  • It's early in our adoption, but there's already a huge return on investment in time not wasted.
Our team has tried Freedcamp and Teamwork. They are fine systems, but not as adaptable and flexible as Airtable.
Airtable blends the simplicity of a spreadsheet with seemingly unlimited customizations. It's the first project management tool that works for everyone on our team, based on the way each of us thinks and organizes ourselves.

I am building bases for our signature events that include everything--from nuts to bolts--that we need to know about, track, follow up on, and complete. I have also created our communications plan and find the various ways of viewing pieces of it incredibly helpful. Everything is there, but accessible in digestible pieces.

I LOVE Airtable for its simplicity and its brilliance. So happy to be sharing it with my team.
