As a consulting & Services company, we use Alteryx for many use cases and departments within our clients. We address every data, integration, and analytics needs with Alteryx.

Alteryx makes data operations so easy. With a drag & drop UI, you can apply complex data manipulation rules with a couple of clicks, no code required.
Alteryx focuses a lot on providing enablement and support to their users, directly or via partners.
Alteryx has one of the best user communities I ever see.
Alteryx provides users with the ability to solve ANY data-related use case they might have, with a very easy-to-use drag and drop interface. Also, if you're are a tech-savvy user, Alteryx allows you to incorporate Python, R, or Scala code into your workflows, which makes the use cases you can tackle with it infinitely.

Alteryx is a very easy to use platform with powerful functionalities.
It allows you to get data to info and info to insights in minutes, so there was not much effort involved in deciding for it.

Change management was minimal - At our implementation change management was not needed. But we found several use cases in customers, where it is needed (mostly with old fashion IT departments)

  • No Training
Extremely easy. Today, there is a lot of material available for self-paced training, but taking a 2 days training will allow companies to catch up with the tool faster.

Configuring Alteryx

Maybe it need some customizations (to improve productivity even more), but overall is great.
Alteryx by itself doesn't require much of a config, but you should have your permissions and acess policies (to databses, network shares, AD, etc.) well defined, in place and updated.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - Very easy.
Yes - we have added extensive custom code - Extremely easy. We used JS, Python and R, and was really straightforward to integrate it.

Yes - Yes, it did (considering "timely fashion" within the standards of the software development industry)
We had a customer with some issues trying to connect to a cloud database. Alteryx involved engineeres and developers, until we found the issue and finally solved. It took a week of tests, but we did it.

Alteryx Reliability

Alteryx can scale horizontally or vertically (or both) if you need
It's rare that Alteryx is not available, and most of the time is because of a user publishing some bad workflows (that maybe take all the resources in the server)
Alteryx processes data very fast, regardless of the volume.

Relationship with Alteryx

Alteryx was experiencing a lot of growth and canges. That's the only thing that makes me lowering the score a little bit.
Straightforward relationship, constant support, CSMs to assure the Customer success journey
Pricing (at that time, 3 year subscription commitment gave us 20% discount)

Yes - Actually, it goes very smooth. Sometimes you may find issues regarding it's MongoDB database (not always upgrading smoothly).
