Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use Amazon Chime for our All-Team Meetings along with any smaller meetings we have that require remote employees to be included. Also, a good feature with Amazon Chime is the ability to record the meetings so if employees were unable to attend we can email them the link. Amazon Chime is also beneficial in supporting our teleworker policy and the ability for employees to video conference in.

Pros and Cons

Recording meetings.
Ease to join and listen to the meeting.

Only the host can record the meeting.
Some features are hard to enable.

Alternatives Considered

Slack and Skype

I believe the two products (Slack and Skype) are better suited for the situations where it is a smaller crowd. This is due to those systems being easier to chat within and collaborate in the smaller environment.

Support Rating

I think Amazon Chime could offer more options in terms of chat, polling, etc. Those options could be available now but it is not easy to find. But overall for what we use it for it gets the job done.

Slack, Skype for Business (formerly Lync)

Likelihood to Recommend

When it is just a one-on-one interaction Amazon Chime would not be the best tool, I would rather use Skype or Slack. However, in the larger meetings Amazon Chime works great.
