Overall Satisfaction with Appian

Appian is being implemented by my Organization, it addresses the business problems of capturing and manipulating data.
  • Speed: you can design something on the front end and show it to the client within a few hours for feedback.
  • Weird quirks: There are some weird quirks that Appian has that are not well documented.
  • Process modeling as a developer: There are many improvements with the GUI that could be made to make it easier to develop process models.
  • Positive impact: Speed at which we can build what the customer wants, and incorporate requested changes from the customer.
There have been many times when we needed support for Appian where they were slow, did not understand our requests or flat out gave a poor answer that we knew was incorrect.
It can be used easily.
I have not used any BPM software like Appian.
Well suited: Easy business processes without a ton of data needed, quick and easy turnaround to get a workflow automated. Less appropriate: Highly complex systems with a lot of data and where complex reporting is needed.
