Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
We use it for creating both micro learning as well as full training scenarios. It helps our work from home employees that are not in the office for in-person training. It helps our return to work employees that don't need the full training but can take each course at their own speed. It's been an effective tool for quick one and done training for a large group of employees as well as sustainable training that can be taken over periods of time.
Pros
- Allows a creative way to make online e-Learnings that are interactive
- Tons of different imagery and characters to pick from and the new AI feature is super cool and easy to use
- The feedback features in Rise and Storyline are essential in the ability for our business partners to be able to provide accurate feedback
- The Articulate 360 training is amazing for options on building skills and knowledge of the different products and features within those products
Cons
- I find it difficult to remember how the many different advanced actions work in Storyline, if that could be made easier to remember or use it would be great
- Closed captioning for all videos needs to be easier to add
- Text to speech with good AI voices
- Saves on time in class. By being able to use an e-learning in a training class it helps cut down on time and frees up the facilitator.
- Saves time for the designer to build the e-learnings which means more can be built in a shorter period of time
- Provides a way to provide quick one and done training in a timely manner providing us a savings in the long run because it can be used over and over
I currently am using Rise, Storyline, Replay and AI assist in my designs. They work together smoothly. AI does generate some pretty neat pictures but also generates some very unusable ones. You have to be mindful when using your new AI feature as it seems to create what it wants. Distributing training with all of these is usually seamless but there are a few cases where Replay glitches and can be very frustrating to use.
Faster course creation has been great but I find that because you can only choose one option you don't get to see how the other options would work. I think there should be the option to keep all the content there and go back and switch up the design after you've had a chance to see what it creates in the case that you don't like it.
Some of the features work better in the other programs and are easier to use. For example, in Camtasia you can layer way more things such as imagery, text, recordings, etc. I actually love Camtasia way more than I like Replay. Replay could actually learn a LOT from Camtasia and it's features. Adobe Captivate was more restrictive than Rise but still at times easier to use.
